i will give that community one shred of credit - they signal boost some games so hard that they become synonymous with the Switch. i remember a few weeks after Celeste came out people who didn’t have a Switch were like “wait this game is on PS4/Xbox? i thought this was a Switch exclusive” because Switch users hyped it so fuckin hard. i also associate Hollow Knight with Switch despite buying it on steam like a year before the port was done lol

I got past the second boss last night then paused it because I was getting a little tired and didn't wanna mess up anything. It is so devastating when you die in that game and are on a good run haha. Brutal.

I decided to put in some fresh batteries into the old Gameboy Color and boot up Pokemon Blue.

Dear God, how did we put up with those screens lmao. Even in a lit room, it can be difficult to see things unless you're directly under a light source. Using an emulator on my phone is such a better experience

 

Any memory I have of my gameboy includes me tilting it to the left or right so I can see properly.


I remember being SO excited to get a GBA SP because of the backlight. The SP is my favorite handheld of all time, god damn I want one.

 

Need some Final Fantasy news. Want 9 NOW.

There was an article saying FF 7 was coming "soon" the other day! So there's that!

 

I had that exact light, there still had to be some tilting and adjusting done, but less. Haha.

 

Oh man, too true. I especially remember tilting it around a lot riding in the car on a sunny day. Yeah the SP was so cool for it's time, I was always jealous of my friends who had them. I went from the GBC to the first gen DS which was a great upgrade though, I only wish it supported GBC games like the SP

Haha all the cool kids had that! I was never lucky enough to own one though :P.

 

okay 2 things I wish the Wargroove editor had:
1. a world editor, instead of having the preset ones
2. the ability to make new custom units (or at least rename the current ones)

if switch ends up not being supported as much I’m probably going to buy this again on pc for the mods lol.

 

had that same light for my Pocket and one for my GBA that could close over the screen. I was not fortunate enough to have an SP, rocked that GBA until it died.

 

Mario Tennis was the best game for GB color don't @ me

 

But it would be nice to get good games too
