if nothing else, i think that increases the odds of a Prime Trilogy port for Switch a fair bit

Quite a few people that worked on Prime work at 343 actually, which actually shined through in Halo 5

 

and 4. That HUD alone was a love letter to Metroid.

Structurally and gameplay wise it's a mix between Dark Souls (1/3) and Darksiders 1 (not 2, there's no loot AT ALL), however due to the way you earn the abilities the map opens up more like Metroid except a little less backtracking. It's a little janky and a little whack but ultimately it's a gem in the rough.
