The presentation was clearly geared towards the Japanese market, I think. I'm curious how we'd feel if it was from Reggie.

 

Mario Kart is an autobuy. If they decide to rerelease a lot of the Wii U games on Switch, I'd probably grab them again.

Imo there are only a handful of good games on Wii U, but they are really really good.

 

I really hope they make Mario 3D World available on Switch, missed that one entirely and have no plans to get a Wii U.

 

Can't find it available anywhere as of right now. Guess I'll run over to Game Stop in a little bit.

 

Yeah I preordered right away this morning. Wish I had had the sense to do so last night when it was on Amazon, but no way in hell do I not wanna play the new Zelda on it asap

pre-ordering mine on ebgames.com at 9am, then going to the store at 10am to try and preorder one for day one pickup at the store. worst case scenario here is i get two switches. wish me luck

yeah it takes me through everything and then mid check out I'm told it's no longer available. the limited amount on pre-orders is a huge mistake and as much as I love Nintendo it's a shitty business practice.

 

I'm disappointed less by the games and more by the potential that it flops, as it looks a lot more like the Wii 3 than I was expecting. I'm sooo on board for a portable PS4(ish) level handheld with 1st party Nintendo stuff, enough so that $300 isn't really offputting in itself. But $300 and the risk that they're going to spend too much time on gimmicks has me hesitating.

The lack of games is def par for the course for a launch, but a little weird just given that they hadn't really put anything out in a year and a half.

 

II was able to preorder the starter bundle just now on Gamestop's website. The red/blue with three games.

 

Target is charging a lot for shipping and don't guarantee it until the 6th-9th. Gonna try Gamestop to hopefully avoid the wait.

 

I'm just not trying to order games I'll never play. lol

 

The box art for Zelda in Europe is garbage. So disappointing compared to the American/Japanese boxes. Whyyyy.

I bet we don't get dual audio options either.

 

Haha yeah, I'll definitely play Zelda and 1-2 Switch though.

 

I really hope they end up porting the best of the Wii U to Switch. I'm excited to finally play Mario Kart 8, I hope Smash gets a complete edition on Switch too.

 

Smash will definitely come over.

 

I was too glued to the TV to be in here for the live stream, but I loved everything except for the pricing. I'll still pay it for the system and games, but it's going to be a cold day in hell before I spend more on a controller than I do a game.

 

I'm liking ARMS the more I think about it. I def need the exercise.

 

Yeah, I liked everything so much. ARMS is going to be great, we still play the Wii U remastered boxing from Wii Sports. My second biggest "wow" moment was the new SMT game. It looks gorgeous.

I couldn't contain myself during the Mario reveal. Talk about balls to the wall. P sure GameXplain will be able to make a 4 day analysis video out of that thing.

scalpers already all over ebay. this is what happens because of Nintendo's stupid fucking ideas on how to put out a product. try caring about your fans instead of creating a breading ground for scalpers.

 

Seems like it's going crazy there. Our preorders wouldn't be up at least until next week.
