Been playing with split joycons because of the motion controls but I'm gonna finally test Mario in handheld mode so I can play while watching football.

 

I’ve mostly been playing between a big ass TV in the living room and a regular sized monitor in my room using the pro controller.

Not the biggest fan of the motion controls, but I really couldn’t think of any other better way to add the QoL features. It’s pretty fun to attack with using 1 hand though - left hand controlling Mario while flicking sideways to do the circle attack.

the amount of stuff you can do with the cappy jump + dive in this game is awesome. Looking forward to all the ridiculous speedruns

Local Best Buy got about 20 SNES Classics in today, finally snagged one. Anyone that doesn't have one yet, go check your local stores and see if they got shipments in.

 

Just went on a friending spree adding almost everyone's friend codes.

Took a break from Mario to calm my SDV cravings. Just hit year 2 and back in spring. Only just started really focusing on doing the community center bundles; going to take me a while for sure.

Mario Odyssey is one of the best games ever made. Got to the credits spoiler free, and I am so happy I knew nothing. This game is pure joy.

 

Existential Dread Simulator coming to Switch

 

Yes! I literally have held off purchasing it on PS4 in the hopes it'd come to the Switch.

 

I will buy Night in the Woods again on the Switch. No questions asked.

 

I was going to play it again soon anyways. Might as well wait a bit longer

 

Want to get mario on physical

Didn't preorder cause I knew I'd be a fest and didn't want the package sitting there over the weekend

Considered buying a copy at fest, but search for video game stores near by turned up empty

Realized as the bus was leaving fest there was a target a block from my hotel that search results didn't turn up

Amazon had it listed for same day delivery, so did that thinking maybe it could still show up today if sometime else let the delivery guy in as id be on my flight

Get back online after flight, realize I apparently only did two day shipping and it doesn't show up to wednesday

Such an up and down adventure!

 

I will play Night In The Woods and every other indie game I skipped this year on my Switch

 

struggling with what to buy next. Splatoon 2 and BOTW are my next big games (in that order) but definitely want to pick up a cheaper indie in the meantime.

Stuck between Golf Story, Cave Story, Sonic Mania and Shovel Knight. As much as I want Stardew, I feel like I'm going to be too stupid to know what I'm supposed to do as the only game of that sort I've played was Animal Crossing and I know this is waaaaaay more complex.

 

I vote Shovel Knight if you haven't played it before. Magical game.

 

Golf Story is my favorite out of those, but mostly because I am awful at Shovel Knight. The bosses in that game kick my ass.

 

Shovel Knight > Sonic Mania > Cave Story > Golf Story

imo but all are good

 

I'd definitely consider Stardew! It's not too bad, and the game doesn't punish you for taking things slow. We can all help you out too!
