I think Q1 is a perfect time to release Smash. We have ARMS and Splatoon 2 already. Nintendo can even host an e-sports event involving the three games to coincide with the release. Also obviously, they would also be releasing a Gamecube Controller for Switch, and who knows maybe GC Virtual Console along with it.

 

I picked up Fire Emblem Warriors. Might not have the time to finish it before Mario Odyssey. But I think that it's a minor step up from Hurdle Warriors and I'm excited that my favorite FE character, Lyn, made the cut. Story is totally inconsequential though.

got through dkc wth my roommate this past weekend, still love that game but wow are all the bosses super easy, weird considering some of the bosses in 2 are some of the hardest parts of the game.

f-zero is next which is weird because it has no 2 player, i think we're just gonna try to get first place in every available track

Almost to winter in SDV. Gonna be sad when all my crops die in a few days, haha. Had a ton setup. Saving some for future recipes since I have a decent amount of money saved up. Also pretty far along with Emily and Abigail, haha.

 

I hope you're talking crops that have multiple harvests otherwise you messed up lmao

 

Yes, that's what I was referring to, haha. Most of what I planted in the fall (aside from pumpkins) have multiple harvests.

I love botw and i dont mean to open this can of worms but if there’s a game that can potentially dethrone it this year it would hands down be Mario Odyssey.

Goddamn it my hype is off the charts and Im drunk af

 

Oh I'm not ashamed to say I'm way more of a Mario guy than a Zelda guy. Odyssey is easily more anticipated for me than BotW was. Bring on Friday.

 

BOTW -> Splatoon 2 -> Samus Returns -> Odyssey probably makes this my favorite Nintendo year ever

It's not 2002 for me but pretty damn close.. unless of course I end up liking the new Mario than Sunshine

 

Also I know it's not exactly "new" but I'm really looking forward to the 100 Mario Party mini games

 

Mario and Zelda are two of my favorite franchises but I will always anticipate a new 3D Mario more.

 

I really want to pick up odyssey this week but I really should be saving my cash for other things. It’s gonna be excruciating seeing all the hype in this thread and reviews in the next week.

 

They were my two favorites (well, after Pokemon, which shit the bed a little with the last game imo) but after WW Zelda fell far behind for me, only to blow my mind with BotW lmao

I'm going to be at Fest all weekend so I can't play Mario until Monday but I am beyond excited

 

I've always been way more into Zelda than Mario but BOTW is one of my least fav 3D Zelda's and Odyssey looks like the best Mario game ever so I can see myself possibly liking it more.
