can't wait to throw my entire life away playing Stardew Valley

 

what does this mean in terms of a release date? are we less than a few weeks out?

 

Can't wait to do it.... again.

I'll never forget obsessively playing Stardew Valley all through the inauguration. It was really comforting.

I've been holding off for the switch release because I feel like it's a game that I'll get the most out of with handheld being an option, so the wait has been very trying haha

 

Yeah I bought it before I knew that was going to happen, a handheld version is definitely great

 

I need an Animal Crossing direct already FFS

 

I think that's fall 2018, maybe 19, depending on Pokemon

 

I'm half expecting a direct with a spring/summer release date given that the mobile game is supposed to come out this year (supposedly this fall).

 

Could be I guess, big spring games are a thing now

 

I just got my keys and I'm currently driving to the store to get the game.

Mario + Rabbids is awesome so far. Looks gorgeous, the starting strategy mechanics are very solid and seem like they'll quickly get more advanced now that I have access to the skill tree. Some of these skills seem like they'll really start to switch things up. I love that you stumble on battles as you progress through levels and that the battles take place on a part of each level that you can explore once the fight is done. It's really neat. There seem to be a good amount of secrets to find each in each level to come back to once you unlock new abilities. Looking forward to seeing how the game evolves as it goes on.

I literally bought a switch for Mario + Rabbids, can't wait to get home and play tonight.

That luigi dab is hilarious.

Not really spoiler but at the end of the first boss, there is a quick dialogue with Mario and BEEP-O. In the background Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Peach are looking at Rabbid's Peach phone and laughing, and you can see Luigi sneaking in different places trying to peak at the phone, and then the 2 catch him and hides the phone away.

I just thought it was funny that Luigi is being treated as an outcast even by their fake versions.

And BEEP-O not remembering his name - Luigi is the best. So many jokes at his expense. Packs a mean sniper rifle/vacuum cleaner.

 

If any rapper has a lyric involving

"hitting the dab like Luigi"

I will just explode because of happiness.

COME ON HIP HOP PEOPLE DO YOUR THING

 

I don't think the writing is as sharp as a lot of the stuff from Paper Mario or Mario and Luigi but it's still a pretty funny game so far.

 

Oh yeah well maybe Daisy should not have deleted those emails

 

I see a lot of people going crazy for Stardew Valley. What makes it so much better than Harvest Moon games?
I don't know, maybe there's a lot of crossover fans. I just don't remember seeing this kind of excitement for any HM games.

 

As a HM fan, I was very annoyed by this too. Then I played Stardew. It's the best HM game since the GBA/GCN entries, only Rune Factory 4 is up there with it in my opinion. HM: A New Beginning and The Story Of Seasons games (which are now the real HM games, unlike the games being released under the HM name) are good, but not as good as Stardew in many ways (also they run like shit which is jarring after playing Stardew).
