NIS has announced a couple of Switch games

 

My biweekly playing of Devil's advocate: Super Bomberman R is awesome if you like Bomberman. Simple as the imo. I've gotten a ton of fun out of it.

 

I heard it got better after the big update so good on them

 

Yeah, the biggest issue was that a large portion of the unlockables, which included over half of the multiplayer maps, were locked behind an in-game currency that was like pulling teeth to gather. It was originally developed under a F2P model with in-game purchases, which is why it was such a pain in the ass, but they didn't rebalance it with retail cost in mind until the patch which was face-palmable.

 

I wondered about that. I went through and beat the story mode as soon as the game came out but never went back after that since you just have to keep replaying the same thing to get coins. The "slippery" controls + the inconsistency of the bosses made it frustrating as shit. Either the bosses were impossible to beat or they would kill themselves in three seconds.

 

Omg, the bosses. They really did play perfectly sometimes, it was some Watson the Computer on Jeopardy shit.

 

hahaha exactly. I'm pretty sure each time I actually beat them, it was because they blew themselves up within the first few seconds. Maybe the gameplay is a little more balanced in general now though.

 

Just preordered Splatoon. I'm not familiar with the old game at all but this one looks like a lot of fun

I was going to buy it on one but I might save until Switch release.

 

Awesome, these are the sort of indie titles I want to see coming to the switch. I'd much rather buy an indie game for the switch rather than my PS4.

 

Finished the main storyline in BOTW this past weekend. Started shifting my focus to I am Setsuna. What an incredible soundtrack that game has. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far.

I still wanna get all the shrines in BOTW though. I don't know if I'll ever truly finish playing it.

I'm really disappointed turf wars isn't going to be a ranked mode

 

I'm at half of the shrines and I want to find them all but there's still sooo many. Then I see how little of the map I've actually explored with that path of the hero. Got some work to do.

 

Raspberry Pi is not hard to set up. I bought some SNES USB controllers and download 978 NES/SNES/Game Boy/Game Boy Color/Master System/Genesis/Game Gear games and it works great.

 

Yeah I think I have 105 shrines right now, and around 300 koroks but the path of the hero has been so helpful since it came out haha.

 

I love the this game's art. It looks so colorful and fun.

 

One of my nephews just turned five, and is obsessed with cars and superheroes, but my sis just let him play Mario Kart on Wii for the first time with motion controls and he fucking adores it. Saw these at Wal Mart today and had to get him the set. Uncle Cam may drag his ass back there tomorrow to get a set of his own.

And, of course, he mains Yoshi.
