Thinking of the possibilities of what Nintendo can do with next gen graphics on the next system that are open to them now

It would be really cool to see Nintendo do something with their old action sports IPs like Excitebike, Wave Race, and 1080 Snowboarding, something akin to Riders Republic. Also an open world Pilotwings could be amazing.

I kind of feel like Nintendo is done with those franchises and would much sooner do something in the Wii Sports format.

 

I wouldn’t expect too much of those graphics. It’s not gonna be a Series S, let alone X. Not that it matters to me, no game really needs to look better than TotK or Mario Odyssey.

 

I was thinking more of "what can Nintendo do with 360 or PS4 graphics?" lol

 

I’m playing the Pearl remake on Switch and, hot take, but I think I love it. It’s a remake of a game I love and giving me nostalgia.

My wife has only played Sword and Violet. She’s asking “you can’t see the pokemon in the wild before you encounter them? They just show up randomly?” haha

 

I think BDSP are better than legends arceus and it’s not even close tbh

 

Legends is one of their worst so yeah, agreed

 

I think Legends was a good blueprint or starting point for what Scarlet and Violet could have been, but they took a big step backwards.

 

I think the worst part is how boring and tedious that game is

 

I had way more fun playing Legends than BDSP. But original Diamond & Pearl is definitely superior

A lot of people saying the Switch 2 is releasing March 2025. Obviously not official but it narrows down the window possibly

 

Makes sense. Exactly 8 years after the Switch would be cool.

 

Who would’ve thought the Switch would be going strong 7 years into its cycle and wouldn’t even have a successor for 8 years

 

Honestly, it's refreshing. Consoles should last this long. The five-year cycle is a fucking joke. Be like Staind. Break the cycle.

That seems short because last years was twice as long but 2022 was about the same length

 

I don't have anything against emulation but pirating easily accessible games on modern consoles just seems so fucking lame.

 

Go pirate like Crimson Shroud because you legitimately can't buy it anywhere since it was stranded as 3DS eShop exclusive.

 

They’re not really easily accessible if they’re locked to a Nintendo console and a Nintendo console only. PC only people have no other way to play the games.
