Yeah. My bad. I meant Kid Icarus: Uprising. I can see how it could be mistaken as a Wii U game now haha.

The flight missions in KI:U might be a better Starfox game than Zero

    I would love a Zelda-like Kid Icarus

I think Uprising would have been great as a Wii game with pointer controls

    That could work.

I'm not the biggest fan of KI:U's control scheme but I also can't figure out one that would be better than what it had. I could only play in short bursts but the controls were very responsive.

Yeah I think it's comical when people say they wish that game had dual analog controls. That just wouldn't work in that game. I do think a sensitive cursor and a tight bounding box on the Wii might have been good.

So I was trying to decide on what games to get from Target's buy 2 get 1 free, and I am not sure what to get. Their selection is small (no Pikmin), so I was thinking of getting Star Fox Zero-Paper Mario-Twilight Princess at the same time since they are all 60 dollars, and then at a separate time getting Xenoblade Chronicles X-NES Remix-Mario Party, which range from 20 to 40. In the 60 dollar range, I was thinking of substituting Pokken Tournament for Star Fox, and in the cheaper category I was thinking of substituting either Minecraft (I have never tried it) or Kirby. Thoughts?

If it were me I'd probably go for Pokken (I have it but haven't played it).

In the other one, all are good picks. But imo Xenoblade is a better timesink than Minecraft, just because mechs.

    Pokken Twilight
    Xeno X, NES Remix, Kirby.

Has anyone played Mario Party? My folks at home have been binging on Mario Kart all weekend and I was wondering if we could also get some mileage out of it.

For reference here are my current couch multiplayer games:
    runbow
    Affordable space adventures
    Mario kart 8
    Mario world 3d
    Nintendo Land

And currently have 2 extra wiimotes. Considering buying a nunchuck wiimote for my 4th controller for Splatoon and 3rd player for affordable space adventure.

Already downloaded. Haha. I don't have those amiibo but now I'm tempted.

Did they mention any way to get the new items? Specifically the Wii U anf 3DS

Just in case anyone else also wanted to know, you can get it from the amiibo or from fortune cookies.

apart from what they talked about in the nintendo direct, some of the other cool new features:

    -you can sit on rocks
-balloons now have more than just balloon furniture
-you can shake trees with tools in your hand
-you can kick out a villager of your choice when your town is maxed out! goodbye chrissy!

All are good choices, I would pick Star fox over pokken though. Between Zero and Guard I've put in about 4 times the amount of hours over PT. Though I'm not the biggest fighting or Pokémon fan

I've enjoyed all of the Mario Party games. If you're going after a newer one, I prefer 9 over 10, but 2 is the best. I think it might be on VC

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I really hate the new Mario party games. Don't like the whole trolley/cart that everyone moves together on.

If I did get Mario Party, I would probably mostly play it with my students on weird schedule days. I really only play Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. under the same circumstances.

It kinda ruins the whole board game aspect, but the mini games are still fun.

I play it occasionally but I might get addicted again. The secret storage and Happy Home designer style house arrangement is huge to me.

I went a little overboard on the Target buy 2 get 1 free sale (I was drunk). I got Paper Mario, Pokken, Star Fox Zero and Guard, Mario Party, NES Remix 1 and 2, Nintendoland, Twilight Princess, Xenoblade, and Kirby. Pretty much the only big Wii U games I don't have are Pikmin and Captain Toad now.
