Xenoblade is interesting. I enjoy the worldbuilding, combat and the big plot points, but the dialogue and quests are really really hard to get into. Especially Tatsu.

The skells/mechs and the ost are also fantastic. Being able to get in and out of the skell during combat is also pretty cool.

I want to farm Ares 90 but there's just too much requirements haha.

I did not finish it and I'm pretty sure getting into it again after several months is impossible

    How come?

You can just look up the quests you have. (And story-based quests can always be accessed from the BLADE Barracks).

I honestly feel like it's one of those RPGs that you can stop playing for a long time and then just get back like nothing happened.

I've been playing it since July and only clocked about 80ish hours I think haha.

To be fair I never realy understood a lot of the systems to begin with, even navigating the menus drives me crazy, haha. I still think it's cool though.

Haha straight up. The first half of my game was just 40 hours of fumbling around and figuring out everything. The inventory is Mass Effect level of clunkiness (if there's a feature where you can sort by weapon types I might have missed it).

It gets a lot more boring or fun (depending on the type of person you are) once you figure it out though. The grinding doesn't bother me that much, as someone who used to play a lot of MMOs, but I'm pretty sure it won't be for everyone.

I wish they'd release a Xenoblade on switch that retains the skells and the massive maps and improving everything else.

Grinding is fun. I used to hate but I aged into it, haha. I could see it getting a Switch port, frankly I could see that for most big WiiU games that aren't close to getting sequels.

I love Xenoblade Chronicles. It is my all time favorite game. Xenoblade Chronicles X is a good game with a lot of great aspects, but It just didn't resonate with me the way the original did.

The Skells are a cool concept, but they should have stricter usage requirements. And all the side activities just lost all their fun at a certain point for me. I stopped caring and just didn't want to bother anymore. It's frustrating because I really love so many things about the game.

I am well over 90 hours in and I'm at the last chapter, but I hear that you need level 50 skells to complete it, which would require some additional grinding. Or just selling all the crap I've piled up. I'm sure I'll finish it eventually.

I haven't played the Shulk one. But I agree with your sentiments on X.

The Wii Xenoblade holds up, especially if you play it on the WiiU gamepad (no extra controllers needed) instead of the TV

I've played less of XCX, but at this point this is how I feel as well. Xenoblade Chronicles really resonated with me in a way XCX hasn't quite done yet. I still really like XCX though

a gamecube + mario sunshine would not cost you over $70 combined, probably the best way to play it.

That is a lot of money and effort for a 15 year old game. I would prefer a Virtual Console release.

Isn't it considered one of the worst? I have not played it or any of the handhelds.

Sunshine is a fantastic game. I need to go back and play it again. I have so many great memories of it.

I remember being incredibly interested in every aspect of XC. The game really absorbs you into the world. XCX undoubtedly has an incredible world, but I really wasn't drawn in the same way. I think the Skell gameplay really takes away from the intrigue. The game is just too easy once you unlock them. Not just battles and side missions, but exploring too. I wonder where the franchise goes from here.

Are the controls for Star Fox Zero really as bad as they say?

I tried the demo. Did not enjoy at all. Not a Star Fox player though.

They aren't bad at all, they just take some getting used to. After they clicked with me, I wouldn't want to play any other way

I do feel that's the case with Star Fox, like Kid Icarus U. Love that game.

    MK8 is incredible.

No, there's one for 3DS, which also has questionable controls
