i THINK so. unless it's possible to contact customer support/send in the Switch to recover the data? i don't even know if that's a thing
also, was the data on the system itself or on an SD card? should be able to save it if it's the latter.

that really sucks tho, is it just not turning on?

 

So the Monster Rancher 1 & 2 on Switch uses the internet to search for CDs instead of putting CDs in the system like classic Monster Rancher.

I put in In Reverie by Saves The Day (because I tried Enter Shikari and it told me the monster was "too special and I don't have the proper license") and this is the monster I got.



It's a very cool system. I think it's a perfect solution.

(I'd like to point out I am very aware of what Chris Conley did and I in no way endorse or support his horrible actions, I just grew up on their music and that popped into my head)

 

When trying to turn on, it looks like the backlight of the screen comes on but nothing displays or sometimes it just doesn’t come on at all. I was able to power cycle it this morning and it came on. But this keeps happening and it seems like it’s taking longer for it to come back

Sounds like none of the reviewers got to try out the online mode. That’s what I’m most interested in. The online stability will make me decided if I will buy it or not

 

Omg, so I haven't turned my Switch on since finishing my Pokedex in Arceus, and now that I'm almost done with grad school, I'm greeted with the surprise that Majora's Mask has been added in an update!!

So excited to replay another Zelda game. Any word on Wind Waker?!

 

All I know is that GameCube is one of the harder systems to reliably emulate, and considering how bad Nintendo seems to be at emulating in general, I don't have high hopes for that on Switch any time soon. Porting Windwaker HD would be amazing though, I've still never played it and I don't want to buy a Wii U for it.

 

We don't need Wind Waker, a C tier Zelda game, just give us Minish Cap

do you know what it is in particular that makes it hard to emulate GC games?

and i just find it hilarious at the idea that Nintendo, with the wealth of resources and money at their disposal, can't seem to emulate their own games lol

 

Not tooootally sure other than I've tried to emulate WW on multiple systems with garbled audio and random stuttering, and when asking around Reddit, it just seems to be the general consensus that GC is a pain in the ass without digging deep into settings and configurations heh

I don’t use Tiktok, but my brother sent me this. This is why the Switch was made.

 

Xbox Series S/X can emulate GC games pretty damn perfectly, i'm going to set it up someday soon.
