Multiplayer unlocks multiplayer stuff and Vice versa if I recall correctly :)

 

honestly the solo campaign is just a tutorial for getting better at various weapons. i never found it all that engaging; the real meat of the game is the multiplayer.
the Octo Expansion i've heard is really good but i haven't played it (cool it's being added to nso)

elements of the campaign felt like Sunshine (a good thing)

 

octo expansion is very fun but can get really difficult. managed to beat it story wise but was never able to beat it 100%

Haven’t played Splatoon 2 in a couple years. Is multiplayer still pretty active to make matchmaking easy?

I'm terrible at Splatoon and just get murdered immediately, so I stopped playing pretty quickly

 

I suck at competitive games. Make a Splatoon JRPG and I’ll play that.

Honestly, the world of Splatoon is so cool they really should make a game that isn't competitive focused like a JRPG or tactics game or something

sure is. the online networking (the "p2p" or whatever its called) is still as unstable as ever, however

that being said, i am just about at the 1800 hr mark

 

I never had matchmaking issues such as lag or disconnection
