I honestly never played it in handheld. I prefer a bigger screen.

 

I tried once when he didn’t have any power for a week from a tornado and I hated it. I eventually took the joycons off just used the monitor as the display.

 

Depends on the game tbh. Some games I prefer in handheld, some I prefer docked to a tv.

 

Because I like playing in my bed or on the couch or at a friend's house. I use it when I have something on TV, most of the games don't even need a big screen to look good so I don't really care.

I think people who prefer docked are weird.

Agreed. Maybe 1% of my playtime has been docked.

The switch lite is my only Nintendo console since 64 and I have no desire to play it docked. Some of the more expansive games would be cool but with simpler graphics like this I feel like I’m missing way less with a smaller screen than on Xbox. I’ve found that it makes me play more frequently knowing I don’t have to get in the zone to go to a specific room and feel like committing to a larger chunk of time.

 

I only play handheld when I don't have the option to dock. BOTW in particular was much more enjoyable on a bigger screen, as was Odyssey because of the motion controls

 

I would probably get the upgraded switch lite if they ever made that. A screen improvement would be really nice for that.

 

I go back and forth. I play like 95% handheld but if I'm home alone I'll get wild and dock the thing

 

I played triangle strategy mostly docked because the maps were too busy and small for my eyes lol. Otherwise in usually in handheld.

 

My wife only uses the Xbox, so she usually has the TV and I go handheld on the Switch. Sometimes I get motion sickness if I play on the TV, so I actually prefer handheld for most games.

 

I will say this can be a big factor. Some games make the text so tiny that I will change it to docked if I absolutely have to.

 

Way late to the party, but with the new show being advertised and the new expansion pack coming this summer, I finally decided to download Cuphead. I can't believe I've been missing out this whole time. Absolutely amazing and super difficult without being cheap or frustrating. I already finished the main portion of the game, but that's probably the best $20 I've spent on a game in quite a while.

 

If I could get a 2DS or a 3DS xl for less than twice what a switch costs, I’d just play that handheld.

Oh okay. I don’t think that has anything to do with Nintendo and Pokemon not agreeing on something. Pokemon is mostly Nintendo really. It’s just regular Nintendo being Nintendo lol

I have a dock in my bedroom and my living room so I have no need to play handheld tbh
