or I feel like there was insiders saying the super Mario collection would get like re-done and stuff and then it ended up being nothing at all

maybe I’m just misremembering things idk

 

I found it very interesting, the only problem I have with stuff like this is that it goes on for YEARS sometimes and things change all the time and the most common reason why people like Emily Rodgers or Jeff Grubb do stuff like this is for internet clout and no other reason.

It rubs me the wrong way. People wonder why some companies stay so secretive and it's because of stuff like this. Sometimes companies can't live up to the hype the internet has unrealistically created from leaks and insider info and then get burned. It's also got to do a huge amount of demoralization for the studios. Leaks themselves can take away from the developers or publishers visions of how to showcase the games and how to communicate and present themselves to the public/audience.

Do I think some developers could benefit from being more transparent? Of course. I think some hold all their cards way too close to their chest. But I feel more often than not it's a problem in this Twitter era where people are more tight lipped because everyone who wants to be someone will spout some random junk.

 

from what I could gather, Emily Rodgers actually has a very good track record.

and yeah Vase, I do agree with your sentiment regarding leaks and insiders. If neither this nor the Switch Pro come true my heart will be irreparably damaged.

That does sound vaguely familiar. I definitely remember the rumors for a Star Fox racing game.

 

to be fair, on Era you have to back up your claims or your ass gets banned. I am hoping the mods are doing their due diligence on this.

Nobody has time to go digging through a whole thread on another website for corroborating sources, so all I was saying was it's not my fault for assuming that it was just some random forum post saying this stuff lol. Not everyone has an encyclopedic knowledge of the latest ResetEra happenings.

And for the record, all I did was call the forum post fan fiction and then you quoted me with a "well, actually", so don't come in here making it seem like I'm causing problems.

I remember way back I read a rumor that Retro was working on a StarTropics reboot and I almost had a heart attack. I still haven't recovered.

Go to Walmart if you have the option and get it for $50. Or wait until Black Friday and get it for like $30 (assuming it’ll be on sale).

 

We don’t know the length yet but I hope it’s around 15 hours.
It’s gonna sell like gangbusters anyway, I expect a lot of copies will end up on second hand markets in a week because a lot of people will be suckered into the hype and then be put off by the game‘s structure.

 

I would’ve paid $100 for Metroid Dread if that was the asking price

 

If you’re a big Metroid fan, you really have to support the game and hope nintendo notices
