If that was the intention of his comment then I’m 100% am fine with that. I know Pratt has a bad history with the church he attended. Once again, I am not showing my support for Pratt as a person. I posted my immediate reaction to see the ensemble cast. I wasn’t even wanting to focus on Pratt as he isn’t even the VA I enjoy the most out of the group.

By all means, I support the acknowledgment of the bad history with Pratt that is shared in this thread.

 

To be fair, the idea of an animated Mario Movie by Illumination sounds like total shit, regardless of the cast.

Like, I could maybe trust Disney to do it justice. Sony could do it except for the obvious conflict of interest there. Pixar won't do branded work like that to begin with. But Illumination? Yeah... don't think anyone should get their hopes up for anything

I was going to comment on this too, but the more I think about it, it's not that surprising. I mean, Microsoft has allowed a couple of their games to be ported to Switch and they let Banjo be in Smash, so I imagine this was a slam dunk of an agreement.

I kinda wish this Mario film was live action now. Jack Black dressed as Bowser, with Seth Rogen swinging through trees while Pratt and Day have those mustaches. Pus Anya Taylor Joy as a live action Peach. I feel robbed of it now.

 

Yeah, I think Microsoft getting in bed with Nintendo is absolutely their move because they know it's ultimately going to help their brand.

 

Never been more glad that Nintendo and Microsoft have a good relationship.
