how spoiler-y are some of these reviews?

 

I have a fair amount of work to do and I just can't concentrate on any of it. Too hyped, reading Zelda reviews and refreshing my email waiting for my shipping confirmation. Goddammit.

 

Most I've read are spoiler-free (GameInformer, Polygon, etc.). I would avoid watching video reviews though, because you never know what kind of footage they're going to show. I tried watching a video review earlier (I think IGN's), they started talking about the boss fights, and I had to immediately close the window because I saw they were about to show boss fight footage.

Stick to print lol

 

Someone said in the Zelda thread to avoid IGN. I'd say avoid Kotaku as well. Actually, I'd say avoid everything.

 

Also commiserating and feeding into the hype train with you lot, can't forget my Nintendo thread fam.

 

Yeah at this point the 30 minutes I could spend reading reviews isn't going to make the next 14 hours go any faster, I won't look at any of those until I've played the game for a good few days. Feeling good about how little I've seen since the Super Bowl commercial.

 

Polygon is absolutely spoiler free

 

Gamespots video review is safe.

IGNs is not

I shouldn't have bought things on Amazon right before Switch-day. Every time I get a text from Amazon I'm thinking it'll be a status update of the Switch, but it's not.

 

I'm not going to get anything productive done these next two days of work

I'm going to have to avoid this thread from tonight until whenever my Switch comes tomorrow so I don't get too jealous over everyone who gets theirs before me

30 minutes until 12! I'm not getting my Switch for another 8-10 hours though. No midnight release, doing a brunch release instead lol.

So you guys will be getting it first after all, lol.

 

Amazon has sent me 6 text messages in the past 30 minutes, not one is for Switch!

 

You should still have it first if you're getting it in the next 8-10 hours. We still have at least 13 hours (for those who preordered in-store).

 

a brunch release sounds way more up my alley. decided to get it after work tomorrow, I don't trust myself enough to not stay up all night.

 

Yeah, as soon I get the text that it's been delivered, I'm out of here.
