Hey does Galaxy require the motion controls? Thinking about getting a pro controller but I'm probably going to want to use my Gamecube controller for Sunshine at least for the nostalgia lol and if I can play M64 with an N64 controller, I think I'd be just fine with a gamecube controller for that, too

Ok idk why I didn't just Google it lol. Pro controller support confirmed, and you can use the touchscreen in handheld instead of motion controls

I’ve been thinking about this, and like picking up star bits with the pointer controls in galaxy. Wondering what kind of tweaks will have to be made to these games to get them to work with switch controllers.

 

In regards to the pointer controls, it sounds like you can use the joycons like Wiimotes, or the touch screen in handheld. So seems like you can only play with Joycons or a Pro Controller. But yeah... Weird choice on Sunshine

 

If you can, just go to Walmart as soon as it opens. Early bird catches the worm.

That’s true. Last time I woke up early to get a Switch game at Walmart (Luigi’s Mansion 3) my local WalMart ended up not getting any in. It was bizarre.

Yeah, I am a Prime user. Never had any pre-order issues with Amazon before until this. Basically they sent me a notice about a week ago and said the game might not arrive on exactly Sept 4th bc of unforeseen circumstances or some shit. I thought, oh well I guess it will ship on the 4th or whatever. I have to work all weekend anyway, it won't hurt for it to arrive a day or two later. Not a deal breaker.

So on Sept 3rd I get an updated delivery estimate and it's Oct 1 - Nov 1. Like holy shit did they drop the ball or what? How the fuck do they let people pre-order something and then push it a month back?

I'm such a lazy motherfucker that I really don't want to go to Wal-Mart or Target and run around looking for someone with a key to open the glass case so I can pick up a copy. Or even worse, go to stupid ass Gamestop and have some pretentious nerd sell me a "new" copy that for some reason is unwrapped and sold as new and listen to power up reward offers and all that garbage. I'm just like damn... why the fuck couldn't Amazon deliver my shit today?

Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 2 should not have the same score. Mario World is a 9.5 at worst. Mario 2 is an 8.0 at best.

Also, any of the scores with * next to it is a retro review which I think means they went back and reviewed it which I think totally skews the scoring system.

 

Yeah. They packed so much awesome shit into it too. Secret keyhole exits. Yoshi. Flying cape. Star road. Different colored yoshi’s with cool abilities. That special world with the super hard levels. Ghost houses. Awesome dungeons. Bowser in a clown copter. Koopalings. Funny animations of Mario destroying each dungeon after completion. Great soundtrack.

 

It’s almost as scores are given by different individuals
