Paper Mario came and gone. Name me the last time we had no idea what games were coming out this late in the year

 

They announced Paper Mario 2 months before it came out. I actually really like shorter waits between announcement and release.

That explains why Sony and Microsoft have both announced new games this fall.

 

I know this is a Nintendo thread, but c’mon, let’s not act Nintendo going silent isn’t something to be worried about.

 

1. Nintendo will have games out
2. Nintendo is not a giant conglomerate unlike those two

I’m still playing FE:TH, BotW, and Astral Chain. Not to mention haven’t started StS. Not really too concerned with their plans for the rest of the year lol

 

I was trying to figure out why Nintendo would make a comment in an interview about possibly discontinuing Directs even though they said they've been wildly successful and now it seems so obvious.

They want to avoid situations like this. They want to stop all the incessant tweets begging them for another Direct and comments on all of their videos complaining their content isn't good enough and they want more information.

I get that Nintendo set up high expectations with directs, but I also think they did a lot to try to cull those expectations by prefacing a lot of their most recent directs with saying "this is ONLY about a, b & c." etc.

Man, the internet is such a double-edged sword.

 

You need to give StS a shot ASAP, it's a great game to play in little spurts. Just get tf on it daddy.

Didn't Nintendo say around E3 time that they would likely do a direct in late summer instead of early June? Its odd that some are complaining when they seem to be doing exactly what they said they would.

 

Crazy how some rando on the internet could run Nintendo better than everyone at the company isn't it

 

there is SO MUCH to play on the Switch. would I like to know what first-party titles may or may not be coming this fall in the middle of global pandemic? sure. but it's not keeping me up at night.

maybe dip your toes into the thousands of top tier indie games available?
