I just don't see why someone would buy digital when it's more expensive lol unless you're rich enough that you don't care

 

I also don’t want to spend $ on a micro SD just for gaming when I could use that on games.

 

A lot of times in the US digital is cheaper with sales, and at launch it’s the same price

I still personally buy physical whenever I can and still prefer it. I buy digital if there’s a sale but mostly all physical.

 

Ah here physical is always cheaper at launch. Like I've preordered physicals for like £45 then I go on the eshop or psn store and it's £60.

 

Don't underestimate the power of laziness. Changing cartridges is a big deal /s

 

Those cartridges are fucking tiny and easily lost.

I was always more physical til this. Getting a Switch so late there's been a ton of great digital sales on games that have been out awhile. Not rich.

 

The switch is definitely the most tempted I’ve been with digital games. And I do have a bit on there

 

Yeah here it’s not the same price at launch, you’ll always find a cheaper physical copy in one of the three go-to stores.

 

I'm annoyed I bought physical of Zelda and Mario kart. Everything else i own is digital.

 

I always get physical if it's a huge game like Zelda or Mario. I want to physically own the game, not download it and have it stored on an SD card.

 

Well, if you're being technically, it's still stored on a small piece of tech...a cart. A one letter difference.

i used to be big on physical but i don't care either way anymore. just wanna play the game. if im bored one night and something catches my eye ill download it. if Amazon has a deal ill go physical. my thoughts on storefronts shutting down are that:
- i never replay games. if i do its way down the road when emulation for that system is sufficient
- by the time a storefront disappears, the system will be cracked wide open and ill be able to use cfw to play whatever i want

i never sit down and like appreciate a games cover art or something and there's high res images for that if i were to want to. not like there's a manual in there anymore. i do love a steel book but those are few and far between for switch

 

I’m not sure you can get a lot of WiiWare and DSiWare roms but I could be wrong

 

there's a lot of WiiWare backups out there, people dumped pretty much every .wad in the month leading up to that shutting down. but ive got no idea about DSIWare

 

OG Xbox emulation is still basically not working as far as I know, sometimes it takes a while

 

Played Splatoon last night after not playing it for like a year and a half and god I missed this game

 

watch it get delayed

 

There are very few Nintendo titles I'd even care about right now.

just want to post this here because this would be so cool if Nintendo did this

 

With as popular as Animal Crossing is right now I feel like they’re leaving money on the table if they don’t reprint them here or worldwide for that matter. And even with a reprint I bet people will still be scalping
