I didn't expect to spend $100 today but I had to buy Animal Crossing, Mario and Rabbids gold edition and I needed to re-up my subscription.

well, I was waiting for FFX to go on sale and now I guess I'll get it.

Also @oldjersey I played about 2 hours of the Trials demo. First impressions: it's a beautiful game with an amazing soundtrack. I don't think I've ever actually played a 3D action/RPG (unless you count Zelda games) and so it's taking me some time to get used to the controls but it's not too complicated. I look forward to delving into the skill/class system more.

I chose Hawkeye to start and then Duran and the little cleric because those are the three I don't want to choose on my main playthrough (planning to go with Kevin as main, and the amazon and princess).

 

Oh man oh man oh man. Sunset Riders is coming to Switch. I'm so happy.

I went with Duran and Angela and will prob use them when the game releases along with Hawkeye, although I think I need a healer in the mix. I really enjoyed combat and have played tons of 3d action games so was very used to the controls. I think the best thing about the controls is the evade button which let's you dodge roll and strategically evade enemies rather than just a hack n slash button mashing type thing.

I am 110% I'm for this game. I think it's gonna be terrific.

 

i really wanna buy stuff from the SE sale but ive spent like 60 bucks this week and gotten 4 games with it. i still have games i really am excited to play in my backlog from even before that. but i may buy FFVII and play it for the first time.

 

Please do that, please

 

@oldjersey you getting One Step From Eden next week? Looks like one of the coolest rogues I've seen in awhile.

for 8 bucks i may as well. it's one of the only classics i havent played and i think even if it landed on me only 25 percent as hard as it would've when i was younger, it's kind of a novelty to go in blind to something like that

I think I am. A streamer I watched played it yesterday and I was soldddddddd. I've been on a bit of a video game hiatus for the past 4-6 months and now with Animal Crossing it's sparked my interest again haha. It just looks so polished and deep.

 

Picked up Octopath and FFIX (again) in the sale. Tempted to get FFVII as well seeing as I've never actually finished it. Don't know when I'll have the time to play all these games, but if this thread is anything to go by I need to buy first, worry about playing the game later.

 

It's dated, controls are a little clunky, visuals obviously dated, but it's still one of the best turn based jrpg experiences out there

 

It's a great arcade game.

 

the writing in Mario + Rabbids is p giggleworthy which is a pleasant surprise

 

probably not a smart decision to try and surprise my brother by buying a og switch tonight because they are sold out everywhere lol

You have to get it for $8, you have to. It’s a steal for that price.

 

It’s wild how I’d rank FFVII only third or fourth in the series overall and it’s still one of the best games I’ve ever played lol

 

i haven’t played FF7 too, sort of. the only time i did was when i was younger we borrowed someone’s PS1 without the memory card, so we had to do a playthrough in 1 go. we got up to the part where Cloud had to disguise himself

i’m tempted to buy it too. I tried the FF7 remake demo and the gameplay didn’t really grab me. so maybe this one will.

 

There's so little time until AC. I want it right meow.
