I’ve been wanting a console for awhile but we'll see if I can even get one in a month or two because you know, the apocalypse.

 

so this really took off

got the hundred percent in Ori at exactly 15 hours. this and Yoku have defined the perfect amount of time to spend with a game to me. i still will love longer experiences here and there but both left me so satisfied. i was sad they were over but also didnt necessarily want there to be more. two of my fav gaming experiences in a very long time.

 

I mean, Assassin’s Creed 3 takes place during the Revolutionary War so kind of?

Are the assassin Creed games good on the switch? I only ever played the first one. But if they run good on the switch I might check one out.

 

ive heard Rebel(? whichever contains IV) collection runs really well, better than III

 

whelp, got into X-Rank on Splatoon 2 only to lose that rank not two days later, lol. that was predictably short-lived. fun while it lasted.

meantime; i just bought Octopath Traveler at Walmart since it was $10 cheaper there, and i got Mario+Rabbids since it was 75% off on the eshop (only $15!!)

 

Anyone try any of the resident evils on switch besides 4? Worth a try?

 

I liked both Revelations and Revelations 2.

The first one was specifically designed for 3DS so it's a little strange on Switch, but it's mostly good. It's kind of a blend between 4 and 5, because it loses some of the horror elements by having constant transitions of maps/characters.

2 is more of a co-op game. One of the characters uses a gun and the other only uses a flashlight and a crowbar. It was also released episodically so there's kind of a "next time/previously on" TV feel to it. I enjoyed it. It's cheesy as hell. The best part of Revelations 2 is the Raid mode. You build custom loadouts, unlock characters and abilities, and do challenges either single or co-op.

Both games are on sale every now and then. I will say the only thing I don't like about R2 is the co-op does this weird split screen thing where it doesn't fill up half of the screen for either player. Example below:

Cool. I was more wondering about the main series ports that came out. But I kinda want to get them all

 

From what I can remember, most of the ports are completely good/competent ports. The only one that I read about that gets dragged through the mud a lot is RE 0. It has horrible load times and Capcom has never released a patch to fix them to my knowledge. Otherwise I would recommend the main entry ports of 4, 5 & 6 (even though I wouldn't actually recommend 6 as a game in general)

 

So I've had my switch and my switch lite for a while now. Thanks to my AC Switch, I now have three. The bouncing around either accounts or save files from one switch to the other is an absolute pain and a chore. One must be connected to the internet to play any digital games and then if the primary system is playing the same game it will boot you off.

Nintendo does a lot right, but their online services, account management and data management is abhorrent. Part of me wishes they would just let some other company handle all the other parts and they would just focus on game development and like toys/experiments like LABO and Ring Fit, etc
