The way I started playing drums is weird and not the typical story. I actually got into drumming back when Rock Band became a thing when I was, like, 16. Eventually, I started playing on any friends'/neighbors' drums whenever I got the chance when I was 18 and didn't get my first drum kit until I was 20. I was entirely self-taught and I didn't start taking drum lessons until I was 24 when I was trying to get into music school (which I eventually dropped out of after one semester).

That's a long-winded way of saying that if you think you're kid shows the interest, I would start. I wish I could have had a story like most drummers where I could say "Yeah, I've been drumming since I was 8" or whatever. I didn't actually know I was interested until I was 16 and my parents' never took my interest seriously until four years later when they heard me play on a real kit.

Only thing that would hold me back from getting drum lessons for my hypothetical child would be "Are they actually gonna play" because lessons can get pricey with some people/places and obviously drums aren't cheap either. With that said, I would do it whenever you feel comfortable from a monetary standpoint and if they like it, awesome. If they don't, then perhaps they're young enough to where you can just pull the plug and it won't be a big deal?

This is good advice. Though at 2 who knows what he really likes.

If I was a betting man I think he will be into theatre. He likes big dramatic songs (think let it go) and big endings.

 

Not to be Mr. Johnny Sadstones over here but he could also like those things because he's two.

Or because they're awesome.

 

My wife was a theatre person and is a very good singer so it fits

How many yards and receptions do I have? How often am I targeted?

 

Don't have the exact stats but you're targeted 4 or 5 times a game. Prob 25 catches, 10 TDs. I spread the ball around a lot and you do your damage in the red zone so your yards are prob kinda low.

 

@EntryLevelDave have i done anything since that first interception
