Everyone is preaching “accountability” for the awful run defense in these pressers, and I’m really hoping to see them do something kinda drastic on defense this week because something’s gotta give and getting embarrassed clearly isn’t enough of a motivator.

Healthy scratch Taven Bryan and/or Tomi Adebawore for being such a liability in run D, bench EJ Speed or Zaire Franklin for the linebackers’ role in not pursuing and give the human bowling ball Segun Olubi more run, idc, but it better not be “run the same group out doing the same thing and expect different results”

 

No longer excited for the Jags rn haha

every problem I thought was gonna be a problem all off-season and was trying to be optimistic about… is exactly the huge problem I thought it would be

the only exception is BTJ but I was still right that it was a lateral move for this season and we should’ve done Ridley AND BTJ and not relied on Kirk to return to his best season he’s ever had by far after injury

 

Like, even down to Maason Smith not even fuckin playing when we could’ve had a day one contributor in the second round

 

I REALLY can’t believe we did basically nothing with the offensive line or the playcalling and expected that to fly.

Who is surprised Trevor is struggling because he can’t stay in the pocket long enough for a real play to develop, and Press is reactively calling a bunch of cheap wrinkles and dumpoff passes that make his whole offense predictable? That was literally exactly what happened to collapse our whole offense last year, and we changed NOTHING except swapping our WR1 with a rookie (we’re lucky we at least got someone who might be a better WR1 someday) and signing a washed 33+ year old to play center like we didn’t learn anything from Scherff’s bum ass. Womp. Womp.
