Damn I just saw Senses Fail there back in 2017 and definitely didn't even realize they had closed (for reno I see). I love this venue, glad it's opening back up.

I'd almost be disappointed if it didn't.

I’m on the Williamsburg/Greenpoint border and I’m incredibly happy that I don’t have to worry about my commute in anymore, at least it seems that way. I’ve been lucky and my landlord hasn’t raised rent in the 4 years I’ve been here. I like the spot and moved all of my life, this is the longest I've lived in one place.

I’m looking to move to Greenpoint in the next two months! I was nervous with the L and it being hectic but I’m much more at ease now

That's a bummer. Hadn't been there in years to be honest, though.

I caught a lot of great shows there. I remember seeing Coheed and Cambria there as a freshman at NYU in 2007 and during In Keeping Secrets I straight out of a cartoon-slipping-on-a-banana-peel-status flew up in the air and busted ass in a gnarly pit. Thought I was about to get stomped into oblivion but some dude picked me up immediately, dusted me off, shook my hand and we went about thrashing like nothing happened. Makes me giggle. Remember that like it was yesterday.

here's a question ive recently been contemplating. I know nothing about real estate really but my question is how come more companies dont just flat out buy out some of these pieces of property in NYC. Are the landlords just not selling because why would they or... what. Like it blows my mind that humongous corporations often have to leave a certain area in NYC because they couldn't afford the rent.

Why don't they just buy the building? And like, who are these landlords and how fucking filthy rich are they?

IS THAT WHY THERE IS NO NYC DATE FOR THE JAPANESE HOUSE LMAO

Wow I already bought tickets for Philly too, guess I get to see her twice, no complaints there.

Now I'm looking and there is a gap in her dates there.
