It’s funny because I’ve seen them 3 times and gotten Coming Home songs for 2 of them. But the timing of the shows explains that. My first was 2001 with blink, so obviously no Coming Home then. My second time was for the Coming Home headline tour, so we got a bunch, they basically played all the songs I liked from the album. The third time was around when Tip of the Iceberg came out and by then the album was dead in the water to the point that the band just told people to download it illegally to listen to it. But they played the title track still.

  2. The Coming Home support tour was great, the only time I’ve ever shown up to a venue super early so I could be first to the barricade and stayed there the entire show. Hit The Lights, Cartel, The Early November, and New Found. Rare you get a show where you know every lyric from every set haha. And of course, a bunch of Coming Home tracks

Hmmm I don’t think we got Hit the Lights. But I don’t remember who the other band was.

Yeah this tour was so good. That was like 2006 right? I remember seeing them on this tour and then several months later with FOB when they started blowing up

This band has such a deep back catalogue that I really wish they’d skip the covers unless it’s a FTSTYS specific tour.

I mean, they have 3 albums of covers. Like it or not they’re part of their shtick.

personally, I think bands should never waste time in a set with a cover. I’m there to hear their songs, not anyone else’s. But at least NFG has gone out of their way to not only arrange their own version, but also spent the time and effort to record and release them. So it’s kind of expected to bear a cover or two.

Just got home from tonight's NYC show. They swapped in The Glory Of Love and another song (can't remember I'm half drunk right now) for Dressed To Kill which sucked.

That being said, always an amazing show. NFG constantly delivers live.

  15. I’m going to the show in Worcester today. I’m really excited to see the Movielife again (all time fave) and I expect FYS to go all out since it’s a home show for them.

Looks like it was Ballad for the Lost Romantics. I’ll be bummed if I get that over Dressed to Kill. But at least it’s a song I do enjoy.

    Are You Watching Closely?

Would love to get Movielife in Austin in addition to or even in place of Be Well. Are they just playing that one off?

It was the Sticks and Stones Fest so I believe it was a one off. It was a really fun show. A Loss For Words, The Movielife, and Bayside were all great. NFG sounded perfect, per usual. I would have liked to have heard some more tunes but I get it. Four Year Strong stole the show. The crowd was insane (hometown show). I only wish they closed out with Maniac.

We got Ballad for the Lost Romantics, Truth of My Youth, and Glory of Love last night instead of Dressed to Kill, Ready and Willing, and Kiss Me. Otherwise it was the expected set.

it was a hell of a fun time. My first show back “post” Covid. I really needed it.

Coming Home and Sticks and Stones in full was probably the best NFG show i’ve seen. 2017.

I've seen them 13 times between 2004 and now and my top shows have always been when the crowds were the craziest.

    1. 2009, Not Without A Fight Tour at Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
    2. 2018, Makes Me Sick Tour at the Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ
    3. 2017, Coming Home & Sticks & Stones in full at Irving Plaza, NYC

Both NFG and MCS recently played in Cincy and I couldn’t make it to either show so this is absolutely fantastic news
