Interesting, I'll have to look into that some more. Never really thought about how that process works until now.

Honestly I am gutted for the band! I hope they just open up pre-orders now I would definitely throw some money their way regardless of the quality of the record.

Still keeping that May date it seems? Any word on that rumored tour with Simple Plan?

    The release thing-

I'm sure it varies from distro to distro but the way it generally works is when delivering albums you deliver the whole album 6-10 weeks ahead of release for preorder and marketing purposes and if your distro does physical too, they'll use this data in communications with Retail.

Separately from that, you will likely also deliver individual singles for promo and also marketing purposes like playlist consideration at DSPs and other marketing submissions.

That's what you see on the NFG page for From The Screen To Your Stereo 3 where there's 5 iterations of the release; it looks to me like they delivered it 5 times adding the new promo track each time and then the last is the whole EP. I'm surprised the whole EP wasn't delivered as an album, it seems apt to get lost down there in singles but what do i know?

I'm but one person though, I'm sure there's a ton of other ways to do it and every distro is diff

I mean... it's fine. I don't really know what else to add.

    Things have changed.

Leaning so heavily into the Bulls imagery in the pre-order merch when they're ... not from Chicago ... is very weird, even with the reference in the single.

I have to say I already like this way more than Radiosurgery and Resurrection. I do love radiosurgery and find it fun in a cheesy/novelty way.

Instrumentally I think this is a good return to form for them.

that is weird! Plus, didn’t they already do the basketball theme before around 2010-2012? I remember them playing shows in NFG basketball uniforms.

Miami Heat are red and black too however given the Chicago Bull lyric who knows.

Ya, my guess is somebody accidentally entered the wrong release date for the album release, which is...def a mistake I've made.

I don't think most folks tend to use iTunes Producer these days because your digital distributor will deliver to all 170 DSPs or whatever. I used to use Producer when iTunes was still a big earner, but I haven't used it 4 or 5 years.

The release date was actually set as the actual date, which makes it even weirder.

I heard a thing about them possibly playing a thing sometime during this calendar year. But the person who vaguely mentioned the thing wouldn't say anything more about said thing. So now we wait.

Kinda like the song, but I just want another album as good as Catalyst. Doesn't seem like they have it in them at this point.
