Jgl has had a pretty decent career and seems to have a bunch of stuff coming out in the next few years. Looks like he does some voice acting too. I've mostly enjoyed him in what lever he's in.

 

I think he took a break to be a dad/ was burnt out

 

JGL is fine whenever he is not doing an accent. But he does random accents SO often and it’s always bad.

 

Don Jon was awful but I really like him as a person and performer

 

that whole movie reminds me of the scene in Wet Hot American Summer when Coop steps on a banana peel, a bucket falls on his head, etc etc etc. just a whole bunch of stupid domino effect shit haha. it was at least entertaining enough for me though that i sat and watched the entire thing in one sitting.

 

after The Night Before he took a 5 year break to focus on parenthood. I think his first big movie back was Trial of the Chicago 7, but I can’t think of any big ones since

Mr Corman was great, though

It might be JGL’s taste to blame if Don Jon is any indication of what he wanted to make at the peak of his career

 

Where the Crawdads Sing was so bad. Just absolutely lifeless and boring. A struggle to get through

The Walk sucked, but that walk across the Twin Towers in 3-D was amazing.

I read the memoir From Scratch, so I knew it got extremely sad, but this limited series adaptation on Netflix is so superbly acted that it made it sadder. On episode 5 and highly recommend it.

Finished season 2 of Industry last night. Was going to just start yet another rewatch of Succession but wondering if anyone has anything to recommend along the lines of Succession / Billions / Industry / Michael Clayton?
