The ending of this last episode is somewhat intriguing but yeah it got boring quick.

 

I checked out Showtime's lineup of upcoming Originals because they've kind of dropped off since Yellowjackets and wanted to see if anything promising is in the pipeline.

I have high hopes for:

• American Gigolo TV adaptation starring Jon Bernthal
• The Talented Mr. Ripley adapation starring Andrew Scott
• The Curse starring Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone
• The Shaka Zulu epic biopic series

I don't know anything about Let The Right One In or the Gormenghast books so i don't know what to think about those.

Does this mean the A24 library is moving from Showtime?

 

first 3 sound promising. Especially something involving Nathan Fielder.

 

I started the OC after the talk in here and I wanted something light to watch before bed. They just blow through plots. I’m 5 episodes in and each episode could have easily been 3-4 plot wise. Dude moved into that empty house for like 15 minutes of an episode?

 

I feel like a teen again since I’ve been switching between robot chicken and boondocks on HBO max.

 

It doesn't let up; stays this way for all 728 episodes of the 1st season. I'm on the 2nd season and it's the same

 

The OC podcast with Summer and Julie is my Tuesday morning commute staple at this point.

 

Recently finished watching Take Out with Lisa Ling on HBO Max. It's presented as a food docuseries, but it's really a look at the history of various Asian-American communities and cultures and the people behind the food. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

My gf just put on fboy island and it’s working fine.

 

Just binged all 10 hours of season 1 of Narcos: Mexico in two days - now starting season 2. Man, this is some good shit

 

uh oh new Virgin River season just dropped

 

Hopefully its up when Im home in a couple hours. I got The Wire to watch.

 

Is the Gwar doc cool?

 

I turned it off 2 minutes in. Some how got slimed through my tv.

 

I watched it at one of the online film festivals a while back and liked it quite a bit.

 

I’m in the middle of the doc now and just bought a ticket to see them in October. Feels like it should be one of those shows I should see at least once haha.

 

I've seen them a bunch, mainly because they always have an opener I like. I don't care for their music much outside of a song or two, but the shows are always a blast. Just don't wear any clothing you care about, and maybe leave a towel in the car to put on your seat for the ride home if you plan on getting up close.
