eh I don't think they really get cast in similar roles for the most part. Gosling does the Brando imitation and does moodier stuff while Ryan Reynolds is more the classic quippy handsome everyman a la Cary Grant or Ryan O'Neal

 

Yeah, I would never compare Gosling and Reynolds.

My wife and I started The Good Place recently and just finished season 2. Lots of twists!

 

I said they are two sides of the same actor. Not the same actors. Combine them into one person & you have someone that can be cast as easily in dramas as they can in comedies.

don't know if i'll watch (more than an episode or two,) but i sincerely hope all those entry-level references to the original show is being limited to promotional material like that and not in the actual show

 

that said, if (when?) this gets cancelled, a bunch of us will likely be tripping over each other to make a joke along the lines of "hey, at least this one ended better!"

 

For those that may know, how accurate is the school setting shown in Sex Education? Is that how the high school-equivalent of the UK school system looks and operates/works? I read somewhere that they tried Americanizing the school a bit, to help make it easier to understand globally?

 

Yeah definitely feels Americanised, haha. It's unlike any school I've seen over here.

 

Yeah, it’s definitely an anomaly. It’s a very diverse school population, no dress code, and I don’t think they have lockers like that in the UK(?).
