Trollhunters season 3 is back on May 25th!

 

finished Evil Genius today. it's definitely not a happy documentary but it fits right in with the others like The Keepers. dark subject matter but fascinating as all get out

 

i've never watched making a murderer, might start that today

 

I was enjoying watching this with my daughter but she wouldn't stick with it :(

 

I watched the first 2 1/2 episodes of Evil Genius until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. I loved it. My goal was to finish it but I just couldn't stay up any longer. Hopefully finish it tonight.

 

Just finished it this week. It was pretty good. There were moments early on where it was very heavy handed with the over the top drama, but the overall story and storytelling was pretty good. I like that everything was answered and tied up by the end. 8 episodes felt like the right amount.

 

I'm looking forward to watching it, but I'm worried that I won't be able to get over Michael C. Hall's accent, haha.

 

There were more annoying accents to be quite honest. The characters Sia and her father have voices high in the register and when they go back and forth it can be a bit grating. I actually liked the main character, but I never watched Dexter so I didn't have any bias either way.

 

Evil Genius is pretty insane.

How easy the conspirators all turned on each other by the end, yet the idea that they all pushed the presence of Wells the day prior to the robbery keep the death penalty from anybody is fascinating. Does anyone think Brian’s co-worker(name was Panetti iirc) was involved in anyway? And does anybody in Erie have a clean house?

 

At one point it said the police couldn't find anything in one of their houses tying them to the crime and I just thought how could they find anything tho? Like rly how could they even know where to begin

I don't have much insight to offer on Panetti, but what I will say is, despite the documentary's conclusion, most people out here feel that Wells was a conspirator to some degree. Last week, the FBI and ATF agents interviewed did a Facebook live chat with a local news outlet to talk about the things they liked and as well as what they felt were inaccuracies in the series, which is interesting.

Also, plenty of clean houses out here haha these people just fit that hoarder profile that was mentioned early in the doc. Some of them also didn't appear to be living in a great part of town.

Thinking back now, if Hoopsick had indeed led the group to Wells then whatever they did to get past the manager and onto Wells on the phone call was very deliberate. If the manager did the entire call I wonder if Wells would have delivered anyways. I sort of lean towards him knowing he would be delivering the pizza to that location regardless, but too naive to know anything beyond that.

 

i don't think brian wells had any idea what was going to happen to him. ken barnes (?) talking about him waiting around for money for the pizzas...he clearly would not have been doing that if he knew he was about to do the robbery.

Also I just watched The Most Hated Woman in America. Has anyone else watched it? Pretty good and I really didn’t know anything about it which is crazy cause it’s such a big deal imo

What's Expiring On Netflix Soon?

Found a good site to keep track of what's getting axed from Netflix and when before the bigger sites announce what's coming and going with each month. For instance, I'm gonna have to sneak at least one more watch of Oldboy before it goes too

 

Why is it that they can't just keep a lot of things up?
