The Woodstock doc has some serious issues. But the rush to defend Nu metal as a response has also been insane.

If Murder Bryan's involved, there will be defending of nu-metal.

Also, I think that episode is a Patreon exclusive pod.

The weird parody commercials only happen in the pilot just FYI. Enjoy this show. I continue to think back on how it warmed my heart

im gonna do Sopranos first. Then Wire. Then Six Feet Under.

It's time to purge the iconic amazing HBO shows that ive never watched

(True blood aint happening....6 episodes in and it's not for me)

The Wire S2 is great so far, but I definitely get how it doesn't have the devastating emotional brevity of S1. But hey, it's still early!

  16. I’m three episodes into The Wire s2 and maybe it’s just because I was a little prepped from posts in here but I see like zero issues yet haha, having a great time. If anything has been fucking with me the most it’s how much bleed over from the first season there is, I really thought it was gonna be an entirely different storyline

Each season of the wire builds upon the previous ones. It continually adds new characters and story lines.

  18. Also my girlfriend is simultaneously watching a different show with Dominic West and hearing his natural British accent kinda shattered my entire universe. I had no idea

I'd argue s2 and s4 are easily the most emotionally devastating, as each deals with groups that are on the periphery of the criminal system but (spoiler? I'd consider it a given lol) are inevitably dragged down into it and crushed by it. Unlike the characters who, when we meet them, have already fully adapted to the system and are defined by it, s2/4 have many characters who hypothetically could have avoided it entirely
