Okay I’m now watching it and I love every part except Chris Pratt. His character is written extremely poorly.

Okay uhhh I think I hate this movie? It’s almost as if you’re watching Emily Blunt and Jason Segel be forced to listen to terrible jokes, racist references and never actually showing facial responses to them. It’s my rom com worst nightmare because I love both of these people.

All I remember is Allison Brie has a British accent and one time Jason Segel tries to jump in a snow pile and hits himself on a fire hydrant.

Haven’t seen it since it came out, but I found the five year engagement to be very forgettable

Which would explain why I remember nothing about it

I generally find anything Nicholas Stoller touches hilarious.

I was in legit laughing fits watching Storks

Idk, a lot of the humor seemed really terrible. I generally have a pretty dry sense of humor but it did not work for me. Especially the mom saying “sorry I’m not made in China, sorry I’m not choo chin chow.” Later, there’s a corny ass line about people in the Middle East always being at war because it’s so hot. Just a lot of tasteless punchlines that don’t land well.

I loved Emily Blunt, don’t think she’s ever had a bad film I’ve seen until now.

Love seeing the Segel love in here, he's always been one of my favorites from the Apatow crew. He just has this way of delivering lines that I think is super unique and cracks me up constantly. FSM is obviously a modern classic, I Love You Man is fantastic and I actually really liked Five Year Engagement too

You guys should check out his show Dispatches From Nowhere that just aired last year I think, it's really fucking weird and meta but I enjoyed it a ton. It also has Andre 3000 and Sally Field in it

That's wild you guys brought up Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man; I watched both this week! After watching 6 episodes of THEM, I was like, I need some comedy in my life and Amazon had both of them. They're both great.

I, Love You Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall are the best two movies from that whole Apatow umbrella/era, ironically better than any of Apatow’s actual movies

Superbad is elite. As for Apatow, while the more personal his work got the more flawed it became, it also touched some aching human moments that are unique to him in most comedies of the time. But yeah Forgetting Sarah Marshall is also at the top of his production output.
