I'll be the one and only person to say I wonder what this means for Starz, since they typically got Sony's movies after they left theaters.

People do know it's from the same guy that did Cowspiracy, right?

I watched the first two last night and unfortunately I feel the same, not entirely sure how much I really understand or want to understand what's going on hah

I think it’s easily to follow what’s going on. It’s just kind of boring. Ray Romano’s character is useless and making him have a sex doll wife isn’t funny it’s just stupid.

I’ve been continuously reading all criticisms of Seaspiracy and feel like it’s a campaign to try and discredit the film as much as possible. The main criticisms I’ve found is that some who were interviewed for the film want to backtrack their statements because they are “out of context” and that he jumps around subjects too much.

But outside of that, where is any of what he’s stated in the film being determined wrong or false? I don’t want to support slave labor, I don’t want to eat plastics from pollution being consumed by marine life and I 100% don’t fuck with bycatch and marine creatures constantly being killed as a side effect of fishing. Are any of those things he documented not true or not happening? Cause if not, it holds up in my eyes and wonder why people want to cast doubt on a doc like this.

I won't watch docs on Netflix. So much bullshit on there.

  13. Some great docs on netflix though

Yeah, and Netflix doesn't even produce most of them, it's just a distribution channel

I loved the first ep of Made for Love, and I’m excited to watch more. Totally needed another Barry-like 30 min HBO show again

  17. Finished Veep tonight. One of the most stressful shows I’ve watched but man did I laugh a whole lot. Can’t say I’ve seen a show quite like it in my life, primarily in how focused it was on one plot and basically never deviating from it — rarely even having B-plots unless they directly served the A-plot. Mostly only started to watch for Sam Richardson and he did not disappoint. Hell of a bleak ending though!

I agree with most of this but am confused by your comment of it being stressful. Care to elaborate?

On the points about B-plots, you're spot on, but the same could be said for Seinfeld and only great comedies.

  20. I think what I found stressful was in the nature of the show itself. Basically the whole main cast constantly on edge and screaming at each other, rushing around to put out fires and manipulating anyone and everyone to achieve their own self preservation. But mostly the screaming lol. Couldn’t be a more apt show to feature like 4 or 5 separate heart attacks.

It’s also the first show in a long while that I’ve struggled with the justification of extremely problematic language just because these are characters that we’re “supposed” to hate. I’ve always felt like that line of reasoning was a little shaky, and there were a few times in there that I had to question myself on how comfortable I was just laughing some of it off.

But yeah the plot stuff is interesting cause there was like virtually no room for anything that wasn’t directly serving Selina’s story. And as nice as it would’ve been to slow things down or switch gears here and there, ya definitely have to respect how lean the whole thing is — no filler

I think as of last night, I've completed the Infinity Gauntlet of streaming services.

Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV+, Disney+, Peacock, Discovery+, Paramount+.

And what am I using it to watch? Doug.

I’ve been doing well with Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+ but Paramount+ does have a few things I want to watch so I might do a one month with them.

  24. Plex, hbomax, disney plus are what I've been using the most

  25. I'd absolutely use my friend's HBO Max account if there was an app for it on my TV... so I really only use Netflix and Hulu, and then Plex for everything else.
