is it worth the watch as a whole?

 

There is definitely some cool stuff but as a whole? I don’t think I can give it a solid rec.

 

Tried to watch Black Messiah last night, will need to try again when I'm not so tired. Made it 30 min in and had no idea what was happening. The acting is top notch though.

 

Yeah there are a lot issues with it as a film. Great performances and an incredible story, but it’s just a collection of scenes with no real exposition, meaningful context, or character/relationship building.

 

Huh. I did not feel that way at all. Thought it was great.

Just watched In & Of Itself and wish we liked it as much as others. There were parts that did genuinely move me and had me tear up, but found myself bored in places

 

The "That's My Dog" episode of Six Feet Under just completely destroyed me. I haven't experienced that kind of dread for a beloved character in awhile. If you've seen it, you know.

 

Yeah it's a fucked up episode. A lot of critics hate the episode for very snotty reasons, but yeah it's fucking intense

 

You're making me want to rewatch the series again! Make sure to post on here whenever you get to the end of the series, I'm excited for you to experience the last season and finale @OotyPa

We might watch that after we finish justified. Or maybe we’ll restart and finally finish game of thrones.

Yeah, it’s a joy to watch. I’ve fallen in love with it and the characters. Definitely going to leave its mark as one of the best I’ve ever seen, up there with Mad Men and Sopranos and the like. I’m honestly shocked I’ve only seen a few of you here discuss it, and the same people each time. It’s a spectacular show and I’m not even done yet. Highly recommend it (over GoT).

 

it’s pretty early on in the prestige drama timeline. i don’t think a lot of people have seen it.

 

I've started it a couple of times but never finished season 1 despite really liking what I saw. Need to finally go through it at some point.

Has Ken Jeong ever been funny? He ruins any scene he’s in in community.

He has never once made me laugh and usually makes me cringe. He sucks.
