Have you started season 4 yet? My son and I are just about halfway through season 5 now. Season 4 has Glimmer making some frustrating decisions, but the emotional beats and repercussions are paying off now. Really enjoying the final season so far.

 

Cobra Kai is so cheesy but my God are we loving it lol

What's the deal with Boys? Three now and then one a week until it's done...?

 

Really liked 1BR, a well executed fun horror movie.

Watch/show people the newest episode of "The New York Times Presents..." It's about the Breonna Taylor murder and is on Hulu/FX.

 

enjoyed the pilot of Ted Lasso quite a bit. not to be a dork but I hope there is more football (American and international) as the show goes on.

I posted this in the Apple thread but Apple TV got 18 Emmy nominations with the morning show getting a total of 8 which include theses 6

 

I've never heard of anyone loving The Morning Show. I know a ton of people who have enjoyed it, but never it being amazing.

 

I only ever watched the first episode. I only posted it cuz that’s what’s on the front page of Apple.com

 

It's on my list to maybe watch someday, but it's far from the top of the list

 

the only one of those that’s deserved is crudup. everyone else is pretty much at their worst, including a few people i love. duplass (not one of those people lol) is in one of the more woefully miscast roles of the last few years.

 

I really hated the first episode. It gave me no reason to keep watching. I’m also not a big fan of serious Carell.

 

Just been watching a stand up on Netflix that I had only heard of once or twice before.

Her name is Hannah Gadsby, and she's an Australian LGBT comedian, and her show Nannette had a moment early on that made me pause, where she considers giving up stand up.

"I have built a career out of self-deprecating humor and I don’t want to do that anymore. Do you understand what self-deprecation means when it come from somebody who already exists in the margins? It’s not humility, it's humiliation. I put myself down in order to speak, in order to seek permission to speak, and I simply will not do that anymore, not to myself or anybody who identifies with me. If that means that my comedy career is over, then, so be it.

Didn't know where to post this but it really spoke to me.

If The Morning Show wins any awards over Succession, we riot.

 

Me and my wife just finished watching Kingdom on Netflix....fantastic show. Netflix apparently bought the rights to the show, so I hope they reboot it for another season. There's 3 seasons, but technically 4 seasons with 40 episodes if you think about it. The acting is phenomenal. Specifically, Jonathan Tucker's portrayal of Jay Kulina. I actually teared up during this show. That never happens lol.

I definitely recommend this show if you're a fan of family drama's and MMA. There are some really tough parts to watch and the language is strong, but they take a look into professional fight culture, addiction, mental illness, and other issues that fighters and fighter families can deal with.

 

Honestly, some of things she says are so simple yet so effective. I'm a total convert. Just finished it and everything she said was truly eye opening.

 

Now watch her special Douglas! A little more traditional than Nanette and a good chunk of it is response to the reaction to Nanette.
