For all the guff Peacock gets, I think the channels rule. It’s nice to just throw on some pre-programmed stuff without having to choose something specific. I throw on the SNL channel when there’s nothing else on. Would be awesome for Netflix’s game shows or a Stranger Things channel.

 

Started watching High Score on Netflix and it's pretty fun. Similar to other Netflix shows like "The Toys That Made Us" and "The Movies That Made Us"

bummer. I liked I Am Not Okay...wasn't amazing, but an easy watch...and ends on a massive cliff hanger

 

Kind of odd to cancel I Am Not Okay when they said they have scripts and everything all done. Like just wait until it is safe to film again? Bummer

Has anybody watched Hoops yet? I was looking forward to it because basketball + Jake Johnson, but apparently it's getting trashed in reviews.

 

I watched about 2/3 of the first episode and turned it off because I didn’t laugh once. It seems to just ride on being as vulgar as possible, and it is just too much to actually be funny.

I watched the first three episodes, only because I was doing laundry/cleaning and didn't feel like changing it.

I was really looking forward to it too. Ben Hoffman is usually funny, and the cast is solid, but I agree that it's just vulgar for the sake of being vulgar without any point/humor really.

This comes from someone who's watched every episode of Trailer Park Boys multiple times, so the language/vulgarity wasn't the issue... the lack of substance/jokes was.

 

Yeah, I "watched" the full season. By that, I mean I watched the first couple, took a nap while I left it on, and then saw the final couple episodes after I woke up. A couple of okay moments, but not worth the watch tbh.

 

Anyone know if the HBO Max mobile app shows when new episodes of a show airs somewhere?

I was just curious to remember what time Lovecraft Country comes on tonight and couldn't find anything in the app. Easy enough to Google, but seems weird

 

I just checked and can’t see anything on a quick look around that gives upcoming times. I know new episodes will pop up in your continue watching as they air, but that doesn’t help for planning in advance.
