That's gotta be a bug because that's literally the entire reason they came up with the download feature.

I can do it on my iPhone without a problem.

Nah that isn't right, I was using stuff I downloaded from Netflix on my flight the other day on my Android phone and my girlfriend did the same on her Kindle Fire

I rooted her Kindle to get the play store and downloaded Netflix through that, so maybe that's why

 

Yeah might be a Kindle issue. I've downloaded stuff from Netflix and watched in airplane mode on my iPad and iPhone.

 

I had the same issue. I found that you have to leave the app open before you go to airplane mode. Otherwise it tries to connect first and won't let you in. Kinda dumb tbh

 

Yeah I've def watches in airplane mode and no issues. I was pretty impressed actually

 

I'll try this. On my Kindle I kill all apps, force of habit I do on my iPhone as well, so that could be it.

So I'll open Netflix at home on Wi-Fi, keep the app open, and then I should be able to watch Offline? Kind of lame, but worth a shot.

 

I did the opposite, when I was in another region I downloaded a bunch of movies that weren't available in mine.

When I went back home I could still access them offline. Not sure if it's a feature that people in Asia only have (because we have horrible internet connection by default haha)

 

It is different over here in the UK, you can use a VPN to get US netflix though if somethings missing that you want to watch.

Where in the UK are you going? If you want any suggestions on what to do/see and it's an area I know I'll be more than happy to suggest a few places.

 

Just finished Maron. The last season got weird, but I'm happy how it ended.

i would think we have some time if they're not launching until 2019, like at least mid-2018, but who knows.
also, those 7,000 TV episodes better include Boy Meets World.

 

Oh for sure. Just confirmation that it's actually happening haha. I'm not sure when current deals run out, but I know people will definitely want to watch some of the Star Wars and Marvel stuff at least one more time if not multiple times.

I love that they've added a skip intro feature. Some opening credits run on too long. I'm looking at you House of Cards

 

netflix DVD keeps giving me 1 month trials, and i keep accepting them and then cancelling.

 

Tried the download/watch offline thing for the first time today. Worked extremely well for me. Took like 3 minutes to download Maron's new special and I'm watching it offline in HD now.

 

I'm into this.

 

There's some shows I like watching the intros for. For example, Shameless' recap before the start of every episode is different and pretty funny sometimes. I understand House of Cards though.

 

God damn. I've had Audrie and Daisy in my queue for a long time and finally decided to watch it tonight. Such awful stories. Ugh.

 

Holy shit I was only like halfway through when I posted that. This just keeps getting worse and more infuriating.

It's a great doc. I just can't believe how these stories played out. Again, even after I posted my last post, the story of Daisy got even more fucked. Makes me sick.
