I watch on either a Samsung TV or FireStick and get adds on both (not surprised I get Amazon original ads on an Amazon device of course)

 

I only watch it on my PS4 and I have literally never seen an ad, opening it or during or before any episode of anything. I just watched all of Mr. Robot on there and didn't get any and I also watched The Boys a month or two ago and didn't see any either so I don't think it's a matter of it being an Amazon original or not

I do have a student account if that makes a difference

I have a student account too and have also watched Mr. Robot and always get a 10-15 second ad/preview for an amazon exclusive before an episode starts lol.

that was with the FireStick, but I find it odd that that would have anything to do with why some get ads and some don’t.

 

I'm pretty sure I never got ads when I hooked my MacBook up to the TV and used Prime via Firefox, but I do get them on Xbox.

This and the fact that I get the same ad 90% of the times makes me think that Prime is actually broken.

 

I saw a preview screening of this. It’s awesome. Eddie Murphy is amazing, like 100 percent back in peak form from the first frame.

 

I just started S4 of The Good Place today and was like, "Oh, that sounds familiar."

 

Appreciate everyone who recommended Jessica Jones. Some bits are still hard to follow without any outside knowledge, but it’s super compelling. Kilgrave and his suits are going to be terrible for my mental health though...

It's very impressive how Marvel's Netflix shows truly have the best live action villains compared to their movies and other shows imo. Vincent Donofrio as Kingpin is truly disturbing, and Kilgrave is so scary

 

Not sure if it will hook me enough to watch the others yet. This is generally regarded as the best, right? Especially the first season?

 

That's a hard one. I go back and forth between Dare Devil S1&3 and Jessica Jones S1 a lot. Both have the best Marvel villains by far and are very well-done. I think I lean more towards JJ usually.

 

The three Daredevils are my top three, with JJ s1 as the fourth. But s2 and s3 of JJ are not very good at all

 

I don't know if I should mention that Mahershala Ali plays the villain in Luke Cage S1...

Not an ad exactly, but today I got a push notification that the new season of Goliath was available “just for me”. I haven’t watched an episode of that show in my life, and I’ve never gotten a notification from prime either. Double confirmation that they’re listening and know I don’t get many ads.

 

Recently found out you can get student rates for Amazon prime if you have Medicaid or SNAP
