Anyone watch Umbrella Academy yet? I love the book and am on episode one. It’s super accurate so far.

 

I've never read the comics but definitely plan on watching this, not sure when I'll get around to it though. Super happy for Gerard

 

I loved Weeds and watched it all the way til the end, but boy did it suck the last couple seasons.

I had no idea what a ramekin was and I looked it up on Urban Dictionary, I think following the 'updog' and 'Pen15' and '58008' line of thinking.

That’s disappointing to hear. I was hoping it got better from where I am. It’s 8 seasons, correct?

 

I mean, don't listen to me. I kept watching, so I must have not hated it. But it definitely felt more far-fetched as things went on. It was on for 8 seasons. It's been a long time since I watched it, so I don't really remember at what point I thought it fell off, and I think the way it all wrapped up in the end was fine, but there were at least a couple seasons towards the end that I wasn't really feeling.

 

I think season 5 was where it started to go off the rails and they totally lost the plot in 6 and 7. I remember watching and just rolling my eyes constantly at where we were going. I actually didn’t ever finish the series because of how disappointed I was. I’ve always meant to since I heard 8 picked back up, but I haven’t wanted to rewatch the later ones to get there.

I do remember Doug and Andy having some amazing lines that are pretty far in, but even those may be earlier than I remember.

Umbrella Academy is good. Definitely not as gritty or sourced as I'd like but it's an exciting adaptation. I just love Robert Sheehans charisma in everything he does. Makes me want to watch Misfits again

 

Regarding weeds, it really got bad after season 3. Then became unwatchable whenever they got that rv or whatever
