Doing a rewatch of 24. Definitely a show of its time, but I appreciate how much it doesn't plod around. Gets right into it.

 

my family has this same tradition and thankfully we didn’t do this with M&M.

but my dad did come home to me sobbing on the couch and he thought someone in our family died but I was actually just watching M&M and couldn’t pull myself together (my dog had just died).

Wait I totally forgot the first season of 24 had a lesbian relationship in 2001.

 

I’ve been toying with doing a 24 rewatch. But I’m kind of in the middle of two long rewatches.

 

Goddamn 24 knows how to do a twist. Just got to the Jack's daughter's friend's "dad" turns out to actually be one of the bad guys in season one. I totally forgot about it and it still got me. I remember the final twist of this season, and I am looking forward to that.

 

When 24 gets into like 6am-7am they do this weird color filter thing where they clearly shot during broad daylight but make it grey and hazy to make it look like it's dawn.

 

I have never, and will never watch 24.

I had to edit an episode of it in a post-production class I took, and for some reason the teacher decided that was the project to take away all of the mouses in the editing lab. It was the most frustrating project of my liiiiiiiife lol

“24” has a couple of good seasons and a lot of really bad ones. Very much a product of its time and victim to its format.

 

Granted, it’s been well over 10 years since I’ve done a rewatch, but seasons 1-5 were great. 6 was bad. 7 was an improvement. I kind of forget 8. Then there was the “movie” before 7? And then the shortened season was alright from what I recall. But the show lacking an actual resolution is a bummer.
