Is Netflix making a concerted effort to grab some newer movies?

Also, I'm sure it's been discussed, but are there any preferred extensions to track the comings and goings of Netflix because we all know they do a shit job of that.

Just updated the app on my phone, a good amount of content on there.

 

Long overdue feature.

And it took me 5 tries before I found something downloadable. But you CAN sort by downloadable content, which is nice.

The download speed compared to Amazon Prime is phenomenal. Whole season of Narcos downloaded in 7 minutes over average wifi.

It appears to default to a basic setting with the option for an unespecified "higher quality" download. I'm re-downloading now. It's taking longer to DL but still going pretty damn fast.

If you're concerned about 1080p, why are you watching on your phone?

 

Personally I'm not concerned, just curious. I wouldn't download in 1080p anyway in order to save space

 

I guess downloading in 1080p would still be worthwhile if you were gonna then take your phone or tablet somewhere and watch from a TV or something where wifi wasn't available

Oh shit, it is! Thanks for letting me know that- either it's newly added or I just completely glanced over it at some point. Could've sworn I checked haha. Thankfully have a friend's old Hulu account logged in.

On a separate note, anyone get to binging Limitless on Netflix? I'm so bummed that show was canceled, it was great and Brian Finch's character is hilarious. After how solid the show felt to binge from start-to-finish, it's absolutely baffling to me that Netflix turned down taking over for a 2nd season. I even read on one source that Netflix thinks it's too complex for their viewers, wtf?

 

Or it could be Amazon lol sorry if wrong.
