Got a cheap little projector on Black Friday. Just watched the first episode of Scavengers Reign. Holy shit.

 

Does every single Peacock video consistently start the first 15 seconds or so in absolute terrible video quality before switching to HD for everyone else? Or is it an android thing?

Happens on my phone, tablet, Chromecast, and Shield TV Pro

 

Don’t experience that on my Roku tv

 

Weird, I wonder what's up! We have really good Internet speeds that I pay up the ass for. Thought it was just an android thing, but we just encountered the same thing on my fiances iPhone.

 

My guess is internet related. I’ve had similar experiences with other apps loading like shit initially for a short bit before looking as expected.

 

How’s the projector? Good quality?

 

It was like $50 so it was just kind of a toy purchase. Not replacing a TV or anything, but WAAAY better than I was expecting for the price (I was expecting complete trash and to play with it for a week and send it back). It says 4K on it, but I'm sure that's just because it can handle 4K files (from a USB or whatever) but it seems like it projects somewhere closer to 720-1080p. I'm just projecting it onto my apartment wall and it looks pretty nice, particularly after dark. Animated stuff looks especially good.

 

Glass onion is fun. No where near as good as knives out but still solid.
