  1. the entertainment industry is still going to find every loophole to save/make themselves a penny and undercut the people who put money into their pockets. the strike may be over, but i wouldn't hold my breath that everything is now going to be hunky dory going forward.

Looking forward to The Curse and For All Mankind season 4 with weekend.

Also might check out that James Bond themed competition reality show on Amazon Prime hosted by Brian Cox that is premiering tomorrow.

what's the hype behind this like? I never watched the original but I hear it's amazing

Mixed hype because the creators of the original show quit when Netflix kept trying to change too many things. But damn does this trailer look great to me. We'll see how badly they fumble the story I guess.

The cartoon is a great show though

Both Avatar and Korra are two of the best animated shows of all time. I think it’s up for debate how Korra ranks next to Avatar, but that would be for you to decide for yourself if you decide to watch.

Like Ryan said, the creators bailed on this because of creative differences, but they are making continuations to the story in the form of new animated movies.

The creators leaving leaves a bad taste in my mouth even if the trailer does give me some hope. They at the very least look like they’ve nailed the look with the casting. I just hope the performances stand up to it.

  18. I think it's safe to say ATLA is the most important/influential animated television show of the 2000s. TLOK holds a special place in my heart for a different reason. I don't think we wouldn't have gotten stuff like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Owl House if it weren't for Korra and the risks it took at the time.

SpongeBob and Family Guy both came out in 1999 and basically dominated kids/teens culture for the 2000s. Everything needed to be or best SpongeBob. I think those are highly influential.

SpongeBob always makes me think of this:

I think ATLA is certainly the most important one for what it does pushing the medium forward and really standing out against the rest of Nickelodeon's lineup.

I for one love the intricate narrative of Family Guy.

Requires a 180 IQ. Higher than for Rick and Morty.

Yeah TLOK changed the game in terms of what amount of queerness is “acceptable” in programming aimed at younger demographics
