  1. Garland's writing/pre-directing credits are also all pretty great. 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Never Let Me Go, Dredd.

  4. I had no idea Alex Garland worked on Never Let Me Go, that was one of my favorite movies when it first came out. Afterward, I read the novel it's based on, and I think I like the movie more. Really loved Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, and Keira Knightley in it

Annihilation was a good movie and trippy as hell.

  7. Annihation and Never Let Me Go are both remarkable adaptations, especially the former as that book is so wild. I’ve always been curious what his Halo movie would have been like.

This movie was absolutely fantastic, until the part where they find that dude in the other ship, and then it just gets wacky

Finished The Summer I Turned Pretty. Is the series still in line with the books or is it done?

Probably contract renegotiation time and they didn't want to pay more.

  19. Ah the three season cutoff

  20. S1 was pretty fun. I never got around to the other seasons.

Fuck. I loved all three seasons and Elle Fanning was incredible in the role. So was Nicholas Hoult. Fanning’s performance in season three in particular after a certain event happens is out of this world and I would have loved to see where she would have taken it next. In a weird way, while there are absolutely a lot of dangling threads I’ll sadly never see resolved, it did end on a euphoric, celebratory moment of catharsis set to “You Shook Me All Night Long” that felt so earned and made you want to cheer for her. So in a strange sort of way it is still a fairly satisfying end even if there was definitely room for more.

  22. Unrelated but I noticed the ads during BTAS are geared towards kids haha. Of course Max thinks only children are watching animation

By the way... Last chance to watch Over the Garden Wall if you don't have it on DVD like I do

The Netflix One Piece live action show is up! I normally don’t like anime live action shows, but this one looks good.
