Well consider it off the list.

This looks pretty cool. Based on the largest gold heist in British history in 1983 and the decade long investigation that followed. Paramount+ 9/17.

No. Just disappointing when you look at the cast and what the director had done before that (film-wise).

  4. I love Ex Machina and Annihilation but strangely did not love Men.

You'd probably wanna watch Knives Out before Glass Onion if you haven't already, not that it's a direct sequel or anything

I liked Ex Machina but felt like the 3rd act had too many plot holes. I've seen Knives Out which was great and Glass Onion looks good.

I'll just get max back in like 4 months. After football season.

YouTube TV used to be 49.99. That was 5 years ago. Now it's a whopping 84.99, plus I'm paying an extra $10 for Redbone. Gross.

Max and Apple are the ones I find that consistently have good stuff. For me, Disney is basically for Simpsons and if I want to try to chip away at the MCU/Star Wars lore. Hulu is fine. Netflix is rarely good. Prime has 2-day shipping that breaks the backs of its workers.

Hulu is the best for quality network TV, Netflix has some decent stuff but has been going downhill for years now, Max has quality stuff but it gets buried in Discovery crap, Apple has top notch production but hit or miss shows, I use Disney mainly for Marvel and Pixar, I rarely use Prime, Paramount+ and Starz suck

Men was creepy as hell, and the acting was top notch, just not entirely sure I was on board for uhhh... the ending

  14. I'm fine with the ending haha, I just felt like it clumsily handled its themes, like, white guy tackles feminism

Rory Kinnear is a great actor. I might watch it just because he's in it.

It's worth it if you're watching Ex Machina and Annihilation. I highly recommend his show Devs also

I wish I enjoyed Devs as much as others seem to

  18. I did not know Devs was a thing. And apparently I've already seen Sonoya Mizuno in like five different things?

Sonoya was the worst part of that show, such emotionless acting

Yeah, unfortunately true, I don't quite understand how her acting was so poor. Still liked the show as a whole though

That's probably why she was perfect for Ex Machina.

  22. I haven't seen it since it aired, but I liked her in it. I feel like the performance is definitely intentional by both her and Garland's direction and it fits the character and cold tone of the show.

Devs is such a pandemic vibe for me. Remember just having existential crisis around the time it aired and it hit harder with the themes in the show. Keep meaning to revisit it. Great show

Devs, Ex Machina, and especially Annihilation are all god-tier.

Men was interesting but yeah, thematically hamfisted.
