I'm like halfway through the first season, I'm just not in the right headspace for it, but I really should get back into it

 

I’m here to once again complain that subtitles still don’t default on the Max app and it’s really annoying

 

Hulu used to do that on my Xfinity but not on my PS5. Though now it’s corrected. Do you use one device to stream the Max app?

 

Oh yeah I probably should’ve specified that. I use Apple TV

 

I watched maybe 3 episodes of peaky blinders and was like no thank you

 

what's wrong with Peaky Blinders? I haven't seen it yet and I enjoy period pieces. My wife refuses to watch it because she hates the name lol

 

I’d been recommended that show many times, but it just did not click. I know a lot of people who honestly love it, but those first three episodes were just painfully humorless and uninteresting to me. Cillian Murphy does not emote at all in that role so his character really didn’t captivate me or anything.

 

First season is pretty boring but it does get better. There are some great moments but I never really came around to it being a great show.

 

Pinky Blinders was great.

They Cloned Tyrone on Netflix was really good. In my top five of the year so far.

 

yep too bad Netflix basically dumped it with no promotion.

the bat mitzvah movie kind of won me over. sarah sherman playing a rabbi doesn't hurt

 

Started Billions a couple weeks ago, and finally just got caught up to where the final season is at right now. Some eyeroll inducing pop culture reference heavy dialogue, but overall a fun engaging show.

What Showtime show should I do next? Ray Donovan? I am not going through all 15 or whatever seasons of Shameless and do not wish to live through the disappointment of Dexter again.

I am trying to take full advantage of my Showtime sub. I can't just keep it for Yellowjackets.

 

Penny Dreadful

 

the first 5-6 seasons of shameless are great then you can quit

 

I watched Ray Donovan for a few seasons when it was airing but for some reason I barely remember anything about it lol. Penny Dreadful is an underrated gem, though.

 

What about Showtime limited series? I liked the Waco sequel series, is Escape From Dannemora or George & Tammy any good?

 

I’ve heard Escape from Dannemora is excellent but keep forgetting to watch it. Heard mixed things about George and Tammy.
