This might come off a little cold but if you're agreeing to be on one of these reality shows, which you 100% don't have to do, you HAVE to understand the ramifications and what you're getting yourself into.

These "reality shows" only exist because of manufactured drama, drunk mistakes.

And the public watches for that....who by the way, also HAS to know this is all crao too right?

should reality TV stars be treated and compensated fairly? absolutely

but also, a good percentage of the people who sign up for reality shows aren't really there to "work" - they're no name clout chasers hoping to get noticed and turn it into something else

should you be paid to be on a game show if you don't win the prize money?

I know game shows usually have consolation prizes, but to treat game show contestants/reality TV stars the same as unionized WGA/SAG members seems a little off

  5. I think if you're trying to get onto a reality show, you must know what you're signing up for. Like, if someone applies to be a contestant on The Bachelor, they know exactly what they're getting into.

At least pay them minimum wage, if nothing else.

I mean yeah, but didn’t that girl from Love Is Blind stay behind for an inclusive covid test and then production manipulated it into her sulking over something unreasonable? I think it’s fair to not want things twisted that far

We finished Vox Machina season 2 on Amazon and…damn. That’s how you do an animated adult show! A perfect blend of action, comedy, character development, and fantasy worldbuilding. For 12 episode/season, the pacing is good and I like the backstories we get on all the characters. I need season three!

Yep. I actually just noticed there’s a trailer for another Amazon series of the second campaign they did. I read it’s coming out in 2024…?

Yeah I know someone that was almost on the Bachelorette and it's crystal clear what they're getting into and doesn't sound appealing at all to me, but I have no interest in trying to be famous lol

  13. Finished Hijack as well. It was silly but entertaining. Definitely benefitted by having with gravitas like Idris Elba carrying it.

I also finished Twisted Metal. It's so dumb but so much fun. I appreciate how audaciously unserious it is lol.

Suits is having a huge resurgence on Netflix right now. I’m still annoyed it got so far away from part of the original premise so quickly

is Only Murders In The Building season 2 decent? I liked the first season but weirdly had no urge at all to watch season 2

I enjoyed it. It meanders a bit in the middle episodes, but comes together well in the end I thought. Not as good as the first season but still very entertaining.
