Legion of Superheroes is really good! The fight scenes featured a wide variety of interesting powers and the mystery of the story was pretty strong. Thought the idea of sending Kara a thousand years into the future for a movie was a weird idea but they managed to pull it off, though I do prefer Brainy being paired with Nia Nal in the live action show. I wonder if this is meant to tie into James Gunn's universe (specifically Woman of Tomorrow) at some point

Speaking of The Americans. I'm really bad at rewatching tv shows. I'm always watching something new. Lately, whenever I'm watching a dud of a show that I gotta finish because that's just how I am, I think to myself "I could be rewatching The Americans, a perfect show, right now."

Off the top of my head, the only shows I think I've fully gone through more than once are Community, Adventure Time, and The Leftovers.

 

Yep, this show is great. Definitely recommend it, we're already 5 episodes in

 

I kinda wasn't in the right headspace when I started The Americans a few months ago. I've gotten like halfway through the first season, it's good but I've just been in the mood for things with sci fi, fantasy, superhero, and/or horror elements.

 

Is it possible to like this post a million times

 

The Americans gets really heavy and brutal at several points in the show, making it kind of a downer to watch at times, haha, so I get your point on needing to be in the right headspace for it.

 

New Justified started today. I'll have to wait til im off work to watch.

Finished! So good. So weird, haha. The thing Jones does is so fucking cool

 

Just finished it too haha, what a fucking show! I really hope they renew it for a second season. Apparently it’s been in production on-and-off for 4.5 years and they had to cut a lot of ideas due to COVID problems. It would be sick to see the universe (and the animated universe within the universe) expanded the way Boots Riley had originally imagined it. Really just mindblown at how good it is. Such a wholly singular style and tone and I want more!!

 

God damn Hijack goes so hard

 

Ugh, dying to watch the new episode but have to wait for the bf to get home from his business trip on Friday. It's so good!

 

Yeah, I started Hijack last night and got through two episodes. Enjoying it a ton.

Not really a comparable show, but I am liking it more than Silo thus far, which I watched/finished last week.

 

I watched all the available episodes of hijack on Monday night. Love it

 

Wow. I just rejoined at the basic plan point to watch the new ITYSL. Guess I got in just in time. But I’ll be cancelling before the next reup anyway.

 

Today's Hijack has a plot development that I don't quite buy, regarding the hijacker with a tube in his chest and the head hijacker. Still, pretty great episode again.

 

Can someone clarify for me HOW they got the guns on the plane? I know the woman working security had her family threatened so I suppose she just looked the other way but wouldn't the machine have gone off?

 

I don't think they've explicity shown how that happened yet. Like you say the security woman stepped away, but I also assume the guns still would have triggered an alarm or something when going through the machine. Then again, do those machines have their own alarms that get triggered automatically, or do they require a human to spot the object and manually trigger an alarm or stoppage of the machine?
