Best parts of the season were Jo and Dana's stories. The rest felt very stagnant to me.

I think this season underlined to me how damned talented Charlotte Nicdao is.

Just marathoned this over the past week. Mixed feelings. I didn't think there was a huge drop off in level of comedy from the previous seasons and even the most shticky characters are still funny and/or interesting to me, no one feels late season Andy/Ron Swanson/Homer Simpson-ed to me yet.

I just don't really love where it ended up storywise. Poppy kind-of-completely-failing-but-not-actually-really-failing-at-all just didn't totally work for me. There was a bit of Ted Lasso season 2 to it all, too, where I feel like we kind of ripped through some major plot points that warranted more exploration. Hera is reduced to a twice-used punchline about Poppy not understanding fun. Ian and Poppy's fight on the roof and rift is completely earned and then just fixed 35 minutes of show later.

This needed two more episodes or to get to the fight two episodes earlier or both. And it's downright weird that Pootyshoe isn't even a mention 2 seasons running now.

There's also a little bit of conundrum where the show is best as a comedy with the whole ensemble together, but is maybe a better show when it actually tells a story, and I feel like they tried that this year and realized those two things are maybe at odds with each other.

Yeah this was definitely the weakest of the three seasons imo and I don't really like that it ended by just putting us in the same place as S1 again but I did still get a lot of laughs out of it

Enjoyable season overall but also agree it's my least favorite. The most egregious issue to me is the reveal that Ian has a son and then they never talk about it again lol

Was really hoping he left over money/The White Lotus but had a feeling it was something like this.

Sucks it even happened but I’ll be honest, I’m glad he was seemingly let go immediately instead of them burying it and it only getting more serious.

The article makes it sound like Rob himself made the call to let him go and if that's true that makes me think even more highly of him

I got that impression as well. Good on him. Nice to see some swift action from actors I enjoy.
