I don't think we're getting any more new MCR any time soon, but I would love to be surprised.

 

Yeah, I want to be wrong, but as time goes on, I'm more convinced that Foundations was literally a "we're back" single to promote the tour and not the start of a new album cycle.

 

Doug McKean, who co-produced "Foundations," passed away a few weeks ago.

 

That's sad to hear.

 

I just don't see them as a band that would come back and not make new music, especially after how sick that song is. I'd be very surprised if that was all they've done.

 

I'm so stoked that I'll be at that first show back. Have no idea what the set or setup will be like.

 

Well, I think they will continue making and releasing music. I just get the feeling they are not in the place to commit to a full album.

 

Already have infinity times more new music from them than we’ve gotten from what, six years of the Thursday reunion? And it’s literally one of MCR’s best songs, ever. I can be patient for awhile.

I actually forgot they released a new song.

 

This is how I was til a week or two ago. And I feel like it was practically the only song I listened to for a week straight lol

 

Here in Europe their only setup was basically their instruments and a backdrop. I would've liked some theatrics but on the positive side the minimalistic setup might've been what made them able to play around with the setlist so much.

 

Pretty sure I've read somewhere that they've already got plenty of new material recorded. Maybe not an album's worth (yet) and maybe they'll decide to scrap what they've got so far, but there'll definitely be new music out in the foreseeable future I think.

 

I heard Foundations of Decay being played at a brewery a few weeks ago and was honestly shocked since I hadn’t heard hardly anyone talking about it since that first week

 

I wouldn’t mind another new song Friday since the tour starts on Saturday. I mean I’ve seen them live before multiple times so I wouldn’t be against 2 new songs in the set.
